Speeches Given:

 :aether: "Victory to the Pure!"
 :air: "Victory to the Pure!"
 :darkness: "Victory to the Pure!"
 :death: "United we Stand!"
 :earth: "United we Stand!"
 :entropy: "United we Stand!"
 :fire: "United we Stand!"
 :light: "United we Stand!"
 :time: "United we Stand!"
 :water: "United we Stand!"

Team Gravity didn't select an EC and will not receive any benefit.  Teams Aether and Earth were late with their PMs and will face a penalty.
As expected. Event card #2 would only be preferable over #3 if the team had enough pendulums / pillars other than their own element, which is rare at this stage of war. The only other possibility would be having multiple nova decks since only one deck wouldn't be worth over event card #1. Rest of the decks with your own mark would be mono which makes #3 superior. And Event card #1 is superior to both of the other cards for those who have their vaults unbalanced or want to surprise their enemies. We could go with any of those since our element & vault are awesome :)
the only teams that could use Event card #2 well would be Entropy and Earth. Earth has used a 1-2 grabbows with earth mark( not exactly the best). But I thought for sure entropy would have used this one with both mono entropy and the discoBH bow or any other nova bow they run

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like these event cards should be a few rounds earlier. With so many teams playing only 1 or 2 matches, it drastically favors teams with fewer matches and potentially screws top teams because of the 30 discard rule. I would imagine the vaults of entropy (and possibly earth) would be pretty F'ed after this round. But who knows what the event card is next round :P

I love the event cards, but I feel it would be more balanced 2 or 3 rounds ago before any team is eliminated.

QFT. I think the results are pretty clear on this regard: ALL teams that played only 1 match won. That's kind of punishing for the top teams, whereas I was expecting the teams that dominated the War up to this point to push out the rest of the teams and then have two rounds to settle things between each other. That would have been more in line with any plan to have War last 10 rounds too, I think, but I might be wrong on this.

Still, having yet another War where top teams are crushed although they have won most of their games up 'till now seems... rather unfair.

This may seem like sour grapes (and maybe it is after the beating we've taken at their hands), but after round 8 Darkness is 19-17 and has 94 cards.  Earth is 33-21 and has 78.  That hurts.  Unfortunately, this War has been as Napalm said, "It's not about winning, it's about not losing."  Wisdom from the fiery chicken.

All Wars have been about not losing, and no one has found a way to change this yet without changing the event completely. More salvages, for instance, would drag it on a lot. There are some things that increase this impact, for instance byes and Event Cards like this one.

Wouldn't it be nice if this wasn't true, though? I'll think about it for a while, since I should be studying now and I'll probably make some suggestions on the Feedback thread. Basically, all we need to do is to find a way to reward winning teams without giving them more cards. And I believe I have a good idea for that.

We can thank only ourselves for not beating darkness when we could :D But this round was truly unfairly helping single deck teams when they already have an advantage.

The main problem was being able to add cards from 'outside of WAR' into the mix.

Also true, but I still think bonus cards are more significant.
