you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round.
6/8 of the players did not play in the previous round, so what deck and mark do they use?  Do they have to use one of the two used in round 1, or can they do anything they want?

This round is going to be an absolute nightmare to organize.  48 duels and none of them between fixed players.  I'm glad I'm not a duel organizer.

I'd say that the wording is a bit ambiguous. Maybe it should be clarified that Decks cannot be changed for the current round that were constructed during the "Deck Building Phase" for that Round.

New Rounds mean new deck building phases and thus all constrictions are reset for the new Round.

So is that just a way of stating you have to use the same deck for the best of 5 like last round?  They could have just said that :p

Previous phase is the deckbuilding phase for THIS round. It is just standard text meaning, players must use the deck created, posted, given to them by the general.

Reminded me of my own card from the Event Card Brainstrom (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,20180.msg274386#msg274386) when i saw it, I think they just re-wored Battle Formations.  : )

Yes, that's exactly what happened. Your card idea was in War 3 but was not drawn, therefore we were able to use it now. Most of the ideas posted in that topic are unusable for one reason or other (usually because they give an advantage to certain teams or teams with bigger Vaults), but "Battle Formation" was an exception.

It will be interesting to see the statistics of generals & lieutenants assignments against certain teams. In theory, teams can gank up and annihilate a selected team by assigning 8 generals against it.
