Some of you could find my post rude, but this is exactly the kind of war I wanted to avoid. I will continue to promote high standards of playing.
Some teams got destroyed by their own inactivity. Some others accumulated so many mistakes in their vault that they literally got a crushing penalty. My team did a terrible job this war, but we keep our errors to a minimum. That alone got us so far. I wish that next war we will have 13 teams full of active people capable of flawless playing.
The problem is: who knew that so many would quit the event so early.
If only, that's what makes tournaments in my mind, the best part of elements,
Events are quite fun, but there are more responsibilities, more audits, more wasting time, more chance of failure (people leaving), and less games.

I just say one thing.  :life was victim of a bad audit by Kael Hate.
He said:

Penalty 12 cards

Round 4 decks
Edited after Deadline May 03 2.00pm
« Last Edit: May 10, 2011, 04:21:24 AM by wizelsnarf »
Penalty 12 cards

Why wize would edit the decks 7 days after the deadline? I looked all decks used on these games and they are all the same. There is a sheet on the same post and for sure wize edit that sheet. But not the decks, so why the penalties?
I don´t believe on this audit, it´s not realible.
We were expelled unfair.
I would ask "why edit?". Was there a change after the deadline that needed to be covered up? Did one of your players take a deck that wasn't originally on the deck topic? I can't know this and the rule in the round topic says if you make an edit after the deadline you will suffer severe penalty. An edit fingerprint was there and you suffer the penalty even if in your heart you did not cheat or in your ignorance did not know. The rules and the penalty system is the same for everyone. If you think this was a bad Audit by my failing, you don't know the rules to the game.

I know the rules, but it´s non sense. You have to think before doing things. If you have to stop your car in a place you can´t stop, but there is someone dying, you won´t stop to help because it´s prohibited?, it´s on the rules? We have to follow the rules, but with a bit of sense. 7 days after the deadline. Why we would change the decks? All of them was posted. We don´t have to hide anything. You know in the middle of the war we made a mistake and we said to you about this. We are here only to play and have fun, there is no need to cheat. What we would cheat? One card?

Kael has no way of knowing what changes were made. Deciding the change was more important than following the rules is fine, as long as you are willing to live with the consequences.

If you aply a penaltie, you have to know what changes were made....or you do things in your life just to do...without knowing what are you doing. Good sense is good for all.
I know that things are not going back. I just want things be made more fairly. It´s not for me, or my team that are not anymore in war, but it´s for the other teams that are still in war and can suffer an audit, where Kael tell the penalties and we don´t have place to explain what we have done.

Similarly, there's nothing stopping someone from making an illegal edit and then making a later edit to obscure the timestamp on the illegal edit, only to turn around and use the argument you're using right now, edunavas.  It sucks, but it's the rule for a good reason.

it is cause gravity turned its back on me and did not take me.  I was the loyal rookie in war 2 and kept motivation going between the members.  so what if my score sucked that was from a long set of bad FG matches back in my building days.  now that most of my stuff is set up i have cut back on my fg matches and matches in general but i still got the cards.  next war i will be back for gravity to take.  if you take me in gravity i will definitely show you why i was an important piece in war 2.

Saying the team did bad because you weren't on it is absolute bs. We did bad, and everyone knows why, because we weren't oganized and everyone left/AFK. Me and TStar stuck around and I HIGHLY doubt 1 more member would have changed this outcome at all. As devans said, go boost your ego when you don't insult my team.

On a side note, this thread seems to have become the source of whining and bickering when it was discussing what went wrong. The first couple of posts did that and now it seems sidetracked.

Thing is edunavas, the rest of the teams already know this. This rule IS fair. Generals, Lt's, EVERYONE is supposed to read the war rules. They are as blatant as they are clear and if you don't follow them you get a penalty. This rule in no way is unfair and is really quite easy to follow (as i think most of us have throughout this war, last war, and the one before it).

On the topic of Gravity Losing: Inactivity+late decks being posted+minor deck penalties here and there... Not the best possible outcome, but I had fun (When I could be online) nonetheless. Overall, gravity (Yes, TNG and Tstar, I mean you) did the best they could possibly do with the (albeit bad) hand they were dealt.

On the topic of inactivity: I (As a middle-school student) blame final exams!! XD

Ok, I gathered enough wits to post here.

As a complete (war) newcomer I literally had no idea how things really go in the event, though, I had the chance to keep track of War #2 from the "front seat" through my brother. It seemed fun, exciting, and even rewarding of some sort. When time has came to post the applications I was real hesitant to do it, as I realized I had no clue how things like vault managing, etc. are done, but thanks to Shantu's persuading I eventually done it. Despite the uneventful auction (from my point of view), in the last few days I finally got a 1 card bid; in addition, from the favorite element of mine. I was happy and full of hope, but I still didn't know what is ahead of me.

It quickly became clear to me that War is more of a work than fun, as if your aim is to actually win the event, you need a great amount of dedication/time to bring that work to fruition. I think our position as the all-time loser team of war made things even more hard, because I believe my own team did not expect that we could ever make it..

All in all: I could blame my team for inactivity, or Kael for penalizing the team to the ground; but I feel I can blame no other but myself really, because the opportunity was there (and it is there for every team member) to do the double check, and to correct any possible errors that may come up - and not to wait for someone else to do it. This War was a painful learning curve for me, as I had really high hopes for the outcome, and even more work left in it; but at least I think I achieved my goal somewhat, to prove - if even for a brief moment - that the element Water is way more than it's public opinion, and it also has the strengths and potential to overcome other elements in an event like this.

I'll be more prepared next time.
