I noticed we only have 2 days to get our matches done now. I think if we have to cut a day cutting it from deckbuilding would be much better since 48 hours isn't really that much time and beyond aether most of us don't need that much deckbuilding time. Match play time on the other hand......

I agree. Less deckbuilding, more fighting.
We can always hasten the round if all the matches are made.

Team aether would argue for another day of deckbuilding, but I know that would get shot down. Organizing and thoroughly testing 8 decks takes a LONG time. 2 days is definitely not enough time for the top team, let alone 3. But we can manage with 3.

Problem is if we have to cut out a day, cutting out a deckbuilding day is much better since 2 days is a small timeframe to get matches done.

Can always use the deckbuilding time to negotiate with your opponent a time during the duel phase can you not?

If it is real issue can we get an entry in feedback for next war? Last War people were complaining that the event was taking so long to resolve and this was the best option but if it is limiting play a better compromise might need to be done.

You simply have to manage, it's your fault to have 8 players anyway  :))
The rounds should get shorter over time according to some sort of average vault method. At this point most teams can prepare to war really fast and they are pointlessly waiting for the battle phase.

IMO, I would rather we cut dueling phase first, then deckbuilding. SO start out 4/3 -> 4/2 -> 3/2 -> 2/2 for 6 or less duels.

Of course. And I am pretty proactive about this stuff even when I have more time. Unfortunately it's going to be very tough for me and young sot to meet in this timeframe because of work on both sides and on Tuesday I will likely not be able to play til he's asleep.

We had some talk about this in feedback to allow more flexable subbing or my prefered method, the attacker declares a timeslot when he will rock up and its up to the defending team to organise someone to be there to meet his challenge.

How do we define who's attacking and defending though?  Whichever team has more/less cards?

This conversation should be moved to the feedback. no one will probably ever see this after the war
