War #3 - Round 7 https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=26537.msg337412#msg337412
« on: May 20, 2011, 01:19:06 pm »
There will be 26 pairings this round covering 3 days of deckbuilding and 3 days of dueling.
Discard for losing this round is 30.

First Elimination
Gravity left us last round but put up a good fight. Even with the loss of their Master they carried on and put as much of their spirit into their play as they could. Unfortunately a mistake in their vault left them with less than enough cards to carry on.

Event Card:

Shapeshifting:
Before each duel: Remove up
to 6 cards from your deck.

*The Full complete deck must be posted in the deck topic and in the Match results.
*If your deck was 36 cards, you could play 3 different variations for the match if you wanted.
*If you play a 30 card deck you can't possibly remove any cards.
*Your Mark may not change
*A deck need only be legal in its full state.

Deckbuilding:
Duel phase has started
Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. Decks are to be posted on the secret team section. Team Deckbuilder starts the topic, and all team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat.

All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which editing deck post is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty, and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start.

Duels:
Round has ended
Duel phase starts when deckbuilding ends.

PM your opponent and try to find a time that suits you both. Time Zone Converter (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html) might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you are both are online, please contact Warmasters (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=293,3167) Kael Hate or ddevans96 immediately. If the match doesn't happen, you both lose by default, unless one of you is clearly more active and/or more flexible.

Duels are "best-of-three", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round.
Please make sure you record your duels correctly.

Notes:

An Audit of Team Water found the Following Discrepancies
- Round 4 SPDC In Error - Penalty 6 Cards
- Round 5 SPDC In Error - Penalty 6 Cards
- Round 6 Illegal Decks, Overuse of cards. First deck already lost Penalty 6 cards (Impossible to forfeit after the fact) Second Deck had, won so is reverted to a loss. 36 cards (Salvage and Discards must come from those gains if possible) and 30 card reperations to team Death (Cards will be those that were discarded)

An Audit of Life found many successive Penalties, totalling 120 cards in Adjustments (To be Noted Later)
One of these was a retraction of a winning game against Entropy. Here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,26011.0.html) Reperations of 31 cards will be paid. (That must be chosen from that Battle.)

Very interesting. Especially that it's right after the 35 deck event card.

sevs again, and our Lt. vs Entropy again x)

Another event card that supposedly helps large-vault teams. Funny how the last one didn't, at all. Worst round for both Wadurr and Aether x)

For the shapeshifting card, is the mark flexible as well?  i.e., could one build a gravity deck with gravity pendula and include both dune scorpions and deathstalkers, removing one or the other before each duel and changing the mark from time to death?

No the mark is not flexable.
