This event card is incredibly poorly designed.  It should have been restricted to the first couple rounds of war where it might be fun and interesting.  This late in the war, it wreaks havoc with many team's abilities to field competitive or even legal decks (UW being especially damaged).

I'm sure the organizers and war masters had good intentions in randomizing the event card order, but seriously ... use some judgement and don't ruin the event.  Kill this card, please.



Even tho I don't like it and brought call against it earlier, it was accepted and gone into effect. This card will very likely last out this round.

Also people are complaining about the events as the War goes on and some teams are going downhill, people keep saying this and that event should be earlier. Well some events have to come later.

I definitely don't endorse any card gets knocked out for this War. This card though just really hurts the teams who don't have a big vault and in certain situations could see this causing teams to have to suicide whereas previously they might not have had to. Hopefully this is not the case.

I agree, the thing with event cards is that they are supposed to stimulate deck building, there will be restrictions/advantages for both you and your opponent.
The thing with restrictions is that they restrict, and people don't like being restricted. Event cards that don't necessarily restrict also aren't good, because they don't affect the deckbuilding.
If the "mono decks get extra salvage" card came out now, few teams would use monos, and teams would realize that other teams also can't field monos. The card would be a waste, because it would just sit there, unused except for team :entropy's discord/abom/shield mono.

But yes, many Event Cards would be unhelpful for teams with smaller vaults. The difference being the other ones are voluntary. That's really all there is to it.

Question:

Team X has 140 cards and 4 players. This means they should build four 35-card decks.
Are they allowed to build a 40-card stall and suicide with one 30 card deck?
I'd say it's not allowed this round since 35 cards is the minimum any deck should be.

I'm a fan, actually.
It forces creative deckbuilding under new circumstances, and it helps get rid of the low-vault teams that always get in the way.
