Event Card basically means this:

Use a mono-deck of your element:
Salvage 6 extra cards on a win.

Yeah, I found the wording awkward as well.

Bit hard to make a mono-deck without your element.

Non-element cards like Quantum pillar do not ruin your chance for the extra salvage.

If you win with a mono deck, salvage 6 extra cards. We have a definition of a mono deck on the very main page of the Forum.

And yet people do not understand.

Because people don't understand the term Monodeck and restrictions related to mark, or cards without cost.

Technically, they still can go mono. But yeah, it's a bit harder and doesn't suit the 'loyal' theme of the event card.

12 quantum towers, 6 gavels, 6 longbows, 6 shields, Gravity/Earth/Air mark?

They cannot use 6 of any weapon, even if it is 'other'. I guess they could make a deck like:  3x Azure Dragon, 3x Owl's Eye. 2x Flying Weapon, 2x Fog Shield, 3x Shockwave, 3x Wyrm, 7 Air Pillars, 7 Air Pendulums.
At least i think that follows Team  deckbuilding rules Oo

Yes, last war if I remember correctly UW used 3 mono decks with 3 copies of each card as described by Dogg.
