I don't think this card is terrible and honestly could have worked either way, just didn't fall on aether's side this round.
I'd like to point out right now that the very incident which caused me to consider adding my thoughts on this card to this discussion was not when Aether started to lose but rather when Fire was crushed by us this round.  I didn't think it was fair at all that they would lose the entire matchup because the one game where they just so happened to stay connected also happened to be the same game where they received the most pitiful draw I've ever seen come from that deck.  The reality is that that matchup should have been much closer and exciting than what it was; as it stands, Fire didn't even have a chance to defend themselves.

The continual desyncs during the UW and Aether match this round was another reason for concern.  Though as I hadn't even bothered to spectate that match, I'm forced to go by what other people have stated which seems to be that the matchup could have gone either way.

So while I could stand here and pout because we, the leading team, didn't receive the luck that we were expecting, in truth the issue goes much, much deeper than that.

A best of 5 Event Card would have made this round much more fulfilling than the one we received currently, and I'm obliged to agree with truddy:  I would like to see matches become best of 5 rather than best of 3.

I do agree best of 5 would have been infinitely better.  And yeah desync's really ended u making this card's effect much worse. Event cards do seem to cause a lot of extra drama eh?

I like this event card.

Of course, you should probably take into consideration that I have only ever been a spectator in war, have created probably the most unfair PvP Event for any individual player which actually is being played, and that I like all the threads that the GMods/SG tend to lock or delete.

I will lol if aether loses the war with nearly a 2-1 win ratio -- significantly better than anyone else. Just seems wrong somehow that they only have 10 cards more than us.  But we'll take it  >:D

No need to rub salt in aether's wounds. Regardless of how this war ends they should be commended for how well they represented their element.

That's what teams and the community actually take with them from War: how they performed and represented their element. Unfortunately for Entropy and Fire, I expect this late-War success to only add to the sentiment that these elements have a big edge in War. Fortunately for Water and Aether, they will never be underestimated again. Or so I hope.

Aether is the prime Element present in all things, providing space, connection and balance for all Elements to exist.
Aether represents the sense of joy and union, and the ultimate potential of all things.

Thanks for the kind words about Water - it seems like a very long time ago that we were still in this War!

It is especially kind to hear them because one of our stated team aims was to try and change the perception of Water as an element with serious disadvantages in an event like War.  It seems that Aether had a similar goal in mind.

Having that recognised is awesome.

It is too late to apologise.  I have already forgiven you.

Water doesn't care about salt in it's wounds. Now that they've proven that they shouldn't be underestimated, it's going to be smooth Saline from here on out.
