War without the fighting is like office work, or homework. If a player that gets to fight and win isn't motivated enough to do the paperwork, someone who won't even seem like a part of the team to everyone else won't have any motivation whatsoever. Having a separate team for card design is justified enough, but putting the pressure on one person to do the paperwork isn't beneficial for anyone. In fact, if a fighting member doesn't do their duties, they'll fall behind as to what's going on in the team.
Hmm.. yeah, I can see your point there. But I'm pretty sure there are
some people who are willing enough to take this role. I don't know about others, but personally I feel that the main perks in war is to be a part of a TEAM, no matter if you're fighting or not - I'm pretty sure you can't get the same experience in any other PvP events.
What I had in mind that this "extra" role doesn't have any specific role at all. He will be more like an extra pair of hands to help. The general of course can choose to nominate this person to do all the paperwork, but as you said; and I agree that this should not happen. To depend entirely on one person is not what war meant to be.
Also, the main reasons why I think this is more beneficial because it can help to minimize the damage from drop-outs and at the same time increase the number of people to enter war. Another possibility is to make this "extra" role as optional, but I couldn't think the reason why would a general risk taking 6 cards replacement penalty later on when he can reduce it by just 1 card.
All I called for is that UW have an advisor that they can hire. That's all. Kind of like a mentor but for a whole PvP event.
There could be like a second auction for this. XD Naw, maybe before the war starts like people are assigned as warmaster and stuff someone could be made the advisor to UW. ( This person needs prior war exp. )
If you're suggesting this advisor role for UW
only, I disagree. Besides, if it's just about understanding how the war works, how it is different than asking the warmasters or anyone else in war? As phaedrus said, I imagine that this extra role will be selected after the UW tourney ends by the UW team. But this should not be for UW alone.
Probably this can be extended to anyone with a war application - but I don't see why you should pick someone who doesn't even have the effort to join the tourney in the first place. Bottom line is people who wants to join war should have an application. ...or become a warmaster.
