All I called for is that UW have an advisor that they can hire. Thats all. Kindof like a mentor but for a whole PvP event.
There could be like a second auction for this. XD Naw, maybe before the war starts like people are asigned as warmaster and stuff someone could be made the advisor to UW. ( This person needs prior war exp. )

War without the fighting is like office work, or homework. If a player that gets to fight and win isn't motivated enough to do the paperwork, someone who won't even seem like a part of the team to everyone else won't have any motivation whatsoever. Having a separate team for card design is justified enough, but putting the pressure on one person to do the paperwork isn't beneficial for anyone. In fact, if a fighting member doesn't do their duties, they'll fall behind as to what's going on in the team.
Hmm.. yeah, I can see your point there. But I'm pretty sure there are some people who are willing enough to take this role. I don't know about others, but personally I feel that the main perks in war is to be a part of a TEAM, no matter if you're fighting or not - I'm pretty sure you can't get the same experience in any other PvP events.

What I had in mind that this "extra" role doesn't have any specific role at all. He will be more like an extra pair of hands to help. The general of course can choose to nominate this person to do all the paperwork, but as you said; and I agree that this should not happen. To depend entirely on one person is not what war meant to be.

Also, the main reasons why I think this is more beneficial because it can help to minimize the damage from drop-outs and at the same time increase the number of people to enter war. Another possibility is to make this "extra" role as optional, but I couldn't think the reason why would a general risk taking 6 cards replacement penalty later on when he can reduce it by just 1 card.

If you're suggesting this advisor role for UW only, I disagree. Besides, if it's just about understanding how the war works, how it is different than asking the warmasters or anyone else in war? As phaedrus said, I imagine that this extra role will be selected after the UW tourney ends by the UW team. But this should not be for UW alone.

Probably this can be extended to anyone with a war application - but I don't see why you should pick someone who doesn't even have the effort to join the tourney in the first place. Bottom line is people who wants to join war should have an application. ...or become a warmaster.  ;D

I support the idea of one extra person.  I think generals should just be allowed to draft one more player in the ausction.  I have sat out rounds before either to let others play and also toward the end when there are not as many matches and it was still just about as exciting for me.  The actual match is such a small part of war.  I know there are people whose highlight is the match itself but I think there are others like me who enjoy the strategizing, deck building and planning aspects just as much.  With one extra player the general could easily rotate them in early rounds to play some matches.  It also means early on if someone is unavailable for a round you don't automatically have to sub.  You can just change your fighting order to put the extra player in.  I see many advantages to the extra player system if used properly.

With the Event Card 'craze' going on right now, I thought of an idea.
We should have a kind of seeds - a third of the cards should be randomized and will come in the first third of the war, a third comes in the middle and a third comes in the last part. So if there are 24 rounds - a system of:

8 cards (round 1-8)
8 cards (round 9-16)
8 cards (round 17-24)
War #3 - Life || War #4 - Death || War #5, #6, #7, #9, #13, #14 - Time || War #8, #12 - Air

I can understand 36 card = a deck, but this is keeping war up too long.

Maybe 33/34?

Yeah....

I dunno, it's especially in the later rounds when lots of teams have JUST over 60 cards...

That means they still have to lose twice to be eliminated, while at the same time if they win things will drag on forever...

It could be fixed by, say, capping out discards at 36 instead, to reflect 1 per deck, but I honestly prefer it the way it was before.

War rounds could / should get a lot shorter now.  This will help prevent the event from dragging on forever.

Really, most teams have just one or two deckbuilding options left, and Aether only has 4 opponents to prep for at this point.

keep in mind, that those teams that are above 60 cards, will have 2 duels next round if they win (and don't sub). This would result in 1 or 2 more matches in Round 12...

Not really. You need 72 cards to field 2 decks with the current ruleset.
