Erm.. IMO, not really... the rules designed to break the tie. So, it doesn't make sense to me to include other bets when breaking the tie.


I can see that you're gathering the data for correct bets. FYI, I already have this in a spreadsheet, but it'll not hurt to have a another person checking this.  Spoiler contains the highest number of correct positions (excluding disqualified bets). So, don't open it,  Napalm >.<

I did not, however, take into account disqualified bets. If Jaxly's was in some way eliminated, then yes. I had a massive tie at 4 correct bets as well.

Here is (hopefully) a more simple way to explain the system:


War is over. We have all 13 icons listed from winner to loser. We will then sort out the betting winner using a system of 2 Phases.

PHASE 1
1. List all bets that have the correct winner. Discard the rest.
2. List all bets that have correct winner and 2nd place. Discard the rest.
3. List all bets that have correct winner, 2nd place and 3rd place. Discard the rest.
etc.

We will follow the steps above in numeric order until no bets meet the qualifications. We will then stop and go back to the previous step when we did have one or more bets that did met the qualification. If at that point have only one bet let, that bet is the winner, if not, we go to phase 2.

PHASE 2
From all the remaining bets, count the total number of correct positions. Order has no relevance. In other words, if I get correct places 1, 8, 12 and 13, that would give me 4 points.

The bet that gets the most points, wins. If two or more bets have the same amount of points, those bets will move to phase 3.

PHASE 3
People with the remaining bets will fight for the prize in a mini-tournament.

Short version:

PHASE 1
Longest continuous strong of correct guesses starting from the winner

PHASE 2
Total number of correct positions guessed

PHASE 3
PvP

Phew.. Glad that I understood that correctly, but I think you forgot to mention to discard the disqualified bets.
Since there's no one with or as their first two bets, I believe my summary earlier is correct.

If fire wins, we will get a definite winner in Phase 2. If aether wins, we will have to go to Phase 3.
So, my question is how does the PvP duel between 3 people work?
