WAR #12 R8 After the success and failure of the midterm exams, all the students rush to the campus supply store to restock all their pens, pencils, papers, and other highly needed items before the store runs out of the limited supply.	Read the War Rules Contact Warmasters News Air, Death, and Fire have dropped out. WMs are only slightly less slow at fixing and updating stuffs......we will get better, but for the meantime please forgive us!
Deckbuilding Duel phase has started Deadline: 3rd March GMT 0:00 Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. All team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat. All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which, editing decks is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all of the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start.	Duels Fighting ends! Deadline: 6th March GMT 0:00 Duel phase starts when deckbuilding ends. PM your opponent and try to find a suitable time. Time Zone Converter might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you both are online, please contact Warmasters--mathman101, and asdw152--immediately. If the match does not happen, you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and flexible. Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round. Super Event Card Additional Deck building challenges are added in to try and show some team spirit. 6 rules will be given, a maximum of 2 may be used each round. (using 4 monos in R7 will only give you 2 relics from the SEC.) All decks that follow the extra rules will earn 1 relic for using one of the rules. The team that won the most relics from these bonus rules will gain a small prize at the end of R9. R7: Mono Decks , and Decks that have 10 copies or more Spells. R8: Decks that have at least 5 unique permanents, and Decks that have at least 35 or more cards in them. R9: Decks that gain additional upgrades from at least 3 relics, and Decks that have at least 3 unique creatures. Event Card Pay relics to allow decks to be able to transmute off element cards. Paying 1 relic before the end of deck building allows one deck to transmute off element cards. After deck building, you can still pay 3 relics to have one deck transmute off element cards. Judging from the increased Relic price part, I take it this option applies to the matches of round 8, not the round 7 matches we transmute from during round 8 deckbuilding? This is not very clear.

Yes, the transmutes apply to wins on round 8.

Yes, you can pay 4 relics at the start to get 4 decks with off-ele transmutes.

With half the teams eliminated, the schedules are becoming somewhat homogoneous, but I have to give the hardest round to by a slight margin.



Interestingly, no team faces the top 3 elements this round, which made it more even.
