WAR #12 R4 Needing a break from studying, some students decide to go relax at some local hangouts on campus. others realize the importance of their education and keep hard on their books and papers. Deckbuilding Deadline: 3rd Feb GMT 0:00 Duel phase has started Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. All team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat. All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which, editing decks is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all of the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start.	Duels Deadline: 6th Feb GMT 0:00 Fighting ends! Duel phase starts when deckbuilding ends. PM your opponent and try to find a suitable time. Time Zone Converter might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you both are online, please contact Warmasters--mathman101, ji412jo, and asdw152--immediately. If the match does not happen, you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and flexible. Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round. Super Event Card Sharing: Upgrades may be moved around however the team wishes among their 4 decks. Decks must still have the required 4 in-element upgrades. If a deck will have less than 4 upgraded cards, all the upgraded cards must be in-element. Ex. a team sends Gen, Lt, Salv, Disc, they have 15+12+8+8=43 upgrades to split among the 4 decks. they may arrange them in any way they want (30/13/0/0, or 11/11/11/10, or any other combination) Stolen from War 7 - R10 Event Card Choose up to one player to attend the movies. The choosen player attending the movies may not participate in the shared upgrade amounts, but instead will receive a secret bonus. Post in your secret section in the Event Card topic created by the WMs with your choice of player before the deckbuilding deadline. the r1 ec (making friends) was considered broken and adjusted, what changed now?

having 1 day for trying to counter a deck with +10 upgrade than your = bad
blindly face a deck with 10+ ups = good

it is totally incoherent, it even last 3 round

Maybe we should limit extra ups to +5? Remember that even +2 was nerfed to +1 in r3.

I like the EC. Sure you could go 10+ extra ups on one deck but then you reduce the win rate of your other decks by quite a lot. And at the end of the day predictions will still be the most important factor.

However I will be mad if people suicide vs top elements and use 10+ extra upps on bottom teams. The other way around is fine though.

If someone does end up being chosen for it, do they play with no upgrades or the standard amount?

Also what's the Secret Bonus?

EDIT: Let's say a regular soldier is chosen for the EC. Are the shared upgrades now 35, or are they still 43?

I agree with this sentiment. However:

This idea also crossed my mind. Going into two matches with 21 upgrades and more or less conceding / hoping for a hard counter in the other two matches is not in the interest of a fun War. So I am in favour of this amendment.

Also, I am biased. As I happen to be in one of the teams that relies on winning more than two matches per round to be successful.

Standard amount, I'm sure. The EC essentially bubbles the chosen player.
