The 2 days split isn't ideal either, as it still makes an already tight deckbuilding phase even tighter. Unfortunately the poll doesn't have an option to express that opinion.

It's not a huge deal for me, in any case, but I'm not a fan of it. Really liked the earlier EC's and super EC better. Also Zawadx, please check your PMs, thanks!

You may only use this EC on one match.
Make a new thread in secret section titled 'R4 EC'. Post the deck with matchup and assigned player/role and the card you wish to limit here.
You may only target cards that are in the vault/market. So banning pillars/pends, marks, Holy Cows, computers etc. is not allowed.
Time to post 3.5 day deck: No time left!
After the deadline, the limited cards for everyone will be announced publicly. The opponent deck may use a maximum of 3 copies of this card.
If two uses of the EC matchup vs each other, then both teams may change the deck in the last 24 hours. The 3 copy limit on the targeted cards still stand, of course.

Not sure I'm clear about the intent to submit a deck instead of just declaring a restriction.

So if we don't submit a deck at all, do we forfeit our right to restrict 3 cards from the opponent ?

The rule says both teams may change only if they both restricted against each other. So if we restrict a card and they have 6 in that deck, but they didn't restrict us back. Can't they change their deck?!?

Just to be clear, we can't change that submitted deck if our targeted opponent didn't restrict us back and we are stuck with it ? Can we change the roles ?

What are the rules for changing the deck, just remove 3+ copies and put whatever we want instead ? Or can we fully change the deck with respect to restriction ?

Build deck completely for that opponent.
Pick a card that opponent can only use 3 copies of.

Deadline for EC comes.

You are stuck with that deck vs that opponent.
They must build any deck they like against you, not using more than 3 copies of your chosen card.
You CAN change your deck if they also use EC against you. Any deck you like so long as you don't have more than 3 copies of the card they restricted.

No, you have to have your deck targeted which you targeted with. If fire targeted death and death didn't target fire, fire are stuck with the deck they used to target death. Even if aether targets fire.

while voting i assumed that changing decks if necessary would be just as urgent as prepping the deck, but since you have to have the deck ready and possibly discuss transmutations etc. it turns out that the early phase of db is a lot more cramped, if you need 1 deck set that you know you wont miss elsewhere. ( alot of db phase is switching decks around between teams, since you simply cant bring as many copies of the deck as you would like)

I would like to take back my vote and say that ec deadline should have stayed the same, I just didnt realize how much work goes into it if you actually try to use it (since its probably aimed at the toughest opponent). Ofc it would still be a close minority, but I gotta agree with the above posts that stated that 2 days are just to tight (so is 1 day to react, maybe it would have helped if the ec was announced early or db was longer for once). Alternately, it could just be to restrict the cards and not lock the deck in, that decision is easier to make (or have an earlier deadline for restrictions, lock the deck in on a seperate deadline reflected by the cards text).
