In many matchups knowing your opponent's deck can change how you play. For example what to save PC/CC for, if you have to be aggresive or not, when to start chain dims... and so on.

There's no real way of fixing this though. The only way I see it is having generals post their decks only after all their matches have been played.

Hadn't really thought about the match order in terms of deck posting, oops - but yes, the best idea seems to be not to post the General's deck until all matches with it have been completed.

If the General still has other matches left to play in the round, whether it's an EC match or a standard round match, he can simply make a placeholder post in the battle results section until all matches are finished, then go back and edit his posts before the round timer is up.

In the case of people passing intel to their teammates before EC matches happen... well, we can't stop this. We're not ever going to police every possible method of communication between you guys. We just have to leave this part to trust - telling your General what deck he'll be facing in the bonus match gives him an unfair advantage over his opponent - in the spirit of War, we just have to ask you guys not to do this, even if it does give a tactical advantage to your team.

Thanks for the positive comments on the event card so far, usually we only hear from you guys when things are going wrong, so it's nice to get some positive reinforcement.

It's sharing info with other teams that was the potential concern, not sharing info within a team - which I wholeheartedly agree should be banned.

Let's say there's a Life vs Death match, and willing4 is facing rob78dp. Rob78dp is hosting a stream on twitch. A member of team Life, Fippe95, spectates there. If Fippe95 sees what cards are in rob78dp's hand, or if rob78dp talks to himself on twitch, is it fair for Fippe95 to relay that information? Of course not. Is there a way to stop it? No.

Sharing information inside the team is perfectly fine (save your CC when X, go for burst TTK if Y, burrow that shrieker for Z!) but only when you have the same information that the player in the match would have. This situation is different from sharing tactics; having outside knowledge of what your opponent is doing is an unfair advantage. While it's not preventable through physical means, that doesn't mean that we can't ask people to stand by the honor system.

Streams are a very different thing tho, because a lot of info is shared here.

imo War Teams are one unit, especially since you can sub easily in between and work on each other's matches.

Of course you might choose to discourage it because of the logistical issues, but imo both generals will be able to play it out without issue. But preventing teams from discussing intel like this seems... wrong given our current concept of a team.

How about posting the decks and looks what happens? I mean i like that EC, cause i like to get some possibility to make changes in war... hope for sportmans not sharing info in this moment is very unthankful, i think there are to many possibilities to share things without wanting...

let gens fight, post your deck, and hell fight your way out of it. those are gens, open intel is good for both of them, so whats the problem?

Problem is that it encourages leaving your matches till the end of the deadline. If earth or darkness target us, and i play gravity first, I'm at a disadvantage against the others who will have seen my deck when i haven't seen theirs

mooooment, i think those battles will happen after all normal battles happened! so everyone has the same intel...

Problem is that it encourages leaving your matches till the end of the deadline. If earth or darkness target us, and i play gravity first, I'm at a disadvantage against the others who will have seen my deck when i haven't seen theirs

If that is such a huge problem just use different deadlines for the 2 types of match and only allow the extra matches to be done after the regular ones are done.

Or just use different decks. Either build something from leftovers (which may be difficult for some teams), or let Gens build from entire available vault but not have it counted as cards used.
