Member randomization really needs a do-over: this is the third time we face :time, and the third time fabian plays us for :time (twice vs xn0ize, but he's already taken this round :silly: ). Second time we get :death, second time Uzu plays us for :death (also vs xn0ize both times).

Anyway, these matchups looks tough, but at least we ain't got no gens *cracks knuckles* let's do this.

I should mention that I wrote that because I felt sorry for them. I was also a bit mad that so many teams choosed the EC vs them instead of the top teams. 10/ 12 mines went to bottom 5. Should have been vs the top 5 if you ask me. But lets not go to deep into that.

Using mines against the bottom teams makes perfect sense. The smartest move if you don't want to discard is using your mine on your easiest target. It's what we did, and I expected most, if not all, teams to do the same. Aiming for the highest teams is a bigger risk, and you generally don't want to take risks.

EC question: Do you make a bet for each team you want to bet on, or do you make a bet for all the teams (getting payout everytime any of those guesses was correct)?
If its the former, is there an upper limit to Relics you can bet on a single team?

Both yes and no. In a round you got some decks that you are more certain to win with. It could be either vs a bottom team or a top team even if a bottom team is more likely. The problem is that if you only aim to survive and not win you will lose in the long run. So if you want to win you have to take some chances.

Team bets 4 relics on Aether being eliminated in Round 800.

In Round 800 Team uses 5 relics to add upgrades to decks. Aether survives Round 800. How will this work with the EC which requires the loss of 4 relics from a team with only 3 relics available at end of Round 800?

Relics are substracted from the vault once the bet is locked in; they are only given back once the bet turned out to be true. (For this reason I think that the payout should depend on rounds from now that the Team is eliminated, as its both harder to predict and reduces flexibility to use relics in the middle rounds- but that is a consideration for another war).

I kind of dislike this Event Card for favoring winning teams again, but whatever (teams about to be eliminated can hardly risk paying relics that they may never live to use).

There was something that I was curious about, though: the EC implies you can bid any number of relics on the guessed elimination round of any number of teams (limited by your own relics, of course), but what about spreading your relic bets across two rounds for the same team? Due to triple payout this can still be lucrative.
