Is it just me or are the match making a bit messed up? 4 out of 5 of our opponents this round facing for their 2nd , 3 of them from round 2, not to mention we faced jijo for the 2nd last round as well.

I haven't look at other matchups, but does this happens to other teams as well?

No, it isn't really messed up.

Since you can't repeat matchups from R3, the probability of having 4/5 opponents faced for the 2nd time for you guys was 83.33% (The other 16.67% was facing 5 teams for the second time). Facing exactly 3 you'd faced in round 2 has a probability of 32.47% (39.18% of facing at least 3), if we ignore round 3. Facing at least one person you've faced before is also quite likely even in round 3, since you've faced 10 of 60 people. The exact probability is 61.21%. All of these figures are quite significant, so you have nothing to worry about.

What happened to Team Fire in War 8 was much more unique, since Death was pretty much our most difficult matchup and we faced them every single round they were alive. That had a probability of .012%, and yet it still occured. With so many things happening in War, some odd stuff is expected to happen.

I think the point is not the elements since rules explicitly dictate rounds 2 and 4 will be opponents not from rounds 1 and 3 respectively, but xn0ize vs fabian771 for example is a player vs player matchup that has occurred before. If time has more of those... then yeah.

I can confirm that just by looking at Death's slot - asdw played against them round 1, not Espi, yet it says first time so it must be referring to player.

Ah, then it's a much rarer occurence, with a probability of 0.19%. Still less crazy than 7 repeats vs your worst matchup

I really hope this EC is based on transmutations done from Round 4 salvage, not Round 3 salvage. If it's the latter, I may lose my mind lol.

This is for the current deckbuilding/salvage/discards phase. So what is being transmuted from the round 3 matches. Hopefully this clears it up.

In that case...

THIS IS A BEYOND TERRIBLE EVENT CARD!!!!! It is completely and utterly unbalanced. Only teams that did well last round can use it.

If you want to kind of balance it out, use it for R4 salvage. Even then, I don't think it's a great EC, but it at least doesn't give an unfair advantage to teams before they ever play a game.

And yes, even if aether went 5-0 last round, I would still think this is a terrible EC.

It's not too late to modify the EC, please do so quickly.

Give the option to use it for this round or the next. Then it would be balanced, I think. (You'd be taking the chance if you chose not to use it this time, plus you'd get the Relics a round later.)

Cheers! But Yh, I was gonna elaborate when I get home, on phone atm ^^. EC isn't that bad as it sounds. As its early, most teams would have 12 of strong in element cards making transmutation harder. Even then, you lose on good salvage. Also, had you known about this EC last round, it wouldn't have changed anything at all. Unless you purposely lost matches last round which I doubt...
