You know you could like make this war a tiny bit less designed for  :air to win?
So you would have targeted us because we were the highest ranking team which has to rely on easily defeatable decks, because our decks are weak and we have to rely on perfect mindgates instead? Or just to prove the point that  :air has to win this war by sabotaging everyone else as much as possible?
The rules easily allow you to use a wider range of decks than even :air could possibly have anymore (let alone field this round), which all things considered should push your winning chances to about 50% and they get nothing if they win regardless. There was no risk involved so no need to chicken out.

Did I chicken out when it cost our team an extra 10-20 cards to target air? No. I want air to win. I don't want gravity to win. Our reason for not attacking air is moot. Your issue is with the design of this EC.

Shall i take this as you wanted Air to win all along and thus fielded a suicide and avoided targetting them as soon as you knew  :aether wouldn't win and just targeted them back then, because causing the winning team to discard is the best way to win war?

Edit: I mean I too would have wanted air to win if I had no alive team anymore, as I like everyone in the team and it's kind of due. Wouldnt mind a complete outsider team like  :gravity or  :water winning either (heck everyone that is targeted heavily exceeded most expectations through sheer skill, rather than having a powerful element, though I should not discredit  :air here, they did unusually well for any team in war history even if the rules favor them a bit).
I personally would have asked for a friendly match with whichever team that hasnt been targeted, conceding the last 3 games if need be, so I could have fun without sabotaging the endresult unfairly.
I am just curious what your reason is if its not "they beat me, so noone shall beat them"

No matter who ended up getting targeted, there's imbalance, and it just happened that air didn't get targeted. There is no "correct" answer to this, and thus there's also no point in arguing about why X targeted Y. Also,

Ditto. Darkness because...

I remember when War was the remaining teams battling it out with each other until one team remained..... now War has become trying to not get totally screwed by an Event Card? Do we have to fear that next round's EC will be something along the lines of: 'Before deckbuilding 1/3 of your Vault is removed by a random bomb going off. (33% of each vault's cards are removed before deckbuilding.'

I'll play my matches. After War, we'll see...

There's also some personal reasons, but I'll keep that to myself.
