War #10 - Market Prices

Sure teams already buy near the cap for key cards... Is  going to get 24 poison and bonewalls anyway yeah most likely... 10%  will mostly matter for average card... At 10% less, its likely they will buy closer to 24 mummies/bone dragons  instead of buying à generic grabbow/dims deck.

Ans as stated, it helps teams like light who have a small number of good In element cards as well!

While salvage is really important for War's predictive element, discard+revelation might be enough if salvage was instead a constant amount of per win which could be spent in the market. Original conception of the market thought about this. There was potential to have market prices change over rounds where high demand would increase prices, but that'd kind of leak salvage information.

I thought about this earlier but didn't say anything since it demands quite a lot of work. Maybe each win would give you X coins which could be spent buying cards from the deck you won against. Or even the decks that you won against that round. That way people won't always choose the strongest cards. If they coins you won could be used on the vault, people would still take the cards which build their strongest decks and will therefore not create a different meta.
This suggestion would demand more work for the teams, but maybe it's worth it?

Thoughts on the prices

NQ and NT should not be the same price, NT is a better card overall.
-NT does not require you to have a nymph.
-NT can make an upgraded nymph of any kind while being an un-upgraded card.
-NT can pick an other nymph right away if necessary, making it less predictable.


Aether is being destroyed with these prices, their cards are strong, very strong, but they will need to stack those unlike other elements which can pick 6 tops, but i'm sure you're all aware of this and discussed this already.

Immo is a little under priced.
Dry spell is under priced.
Thunderstorm is under priced
Ash eater is under priced, 10 is too low and will be picked as a fodder/small creature for cheap decks.
Antilon is good upgraded, 20 is too cheap, maybe 30?
RT is a little too high, i'd say 90.
RoF 40 as well, what's up with AoE being cheap x)?
Armagio is useless, 40 is too high.
Fire bolt needs to be 110 i think.
Devourer should be 90-100.
Nightmare should be 110.
Poison at 70 is too low.

May add more later

Would also like to see Scarab have a slight price increase, great synergy with SoP.

Agree with afda 100% here... There is no named cards for aether for prices to go down... But I mostly think about fractal, lightning and lobotomiser.

Haven't heard anything on WMS since a while on the last changed proposed by a few of us... it would be nice to have them set before auction ends because I will look biased if I ask for a fire card to go down while being on team fire and also because teams will wanna start vaultbuilding as soon as possible.  Most changes are only a 10 cost difference, but all of em together, they matter a lot for the balance of war! 15 of em is enough to disrupt balance... but it only take 2 minutes to change them!

Imo creatures that are useless unless upgraded should have a slight cost decrease.
Antlion, as pointed out, is actually pretty good upgraded. It costs 30.
Abyss Crawler is useless unupgraded. It should cost 50 or 55 not 60 imo. It forces you to use upgrades on creatures rather than quanta or must-upgrade strategy cards.
