one of our decks went from costing 1440 to 2650.

All prices went up.

I am aware of this, but some elements seem to have gone up more than others, and the reasoning doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense to me
I think the reason is quite simple. Many people use aether cards in their vaults like you mentioned. And since aether is the element with the fewest amount of cards and least deck versatility you're hit a lot harder than other elements.

I think you're missing the point ian. I am fine with having a smaller starting vault. But I am not fine with being handicapped more than the element that actually won the last war.
Well on a card by card basis... Something minor...to me nova=fractal in terms of power for a spell so fractal should be -20 (150 each).
I did ask for lobotomiser price to go down a bit as it is really weak.. maybe you can add youre 2 cents here.

Now for darkness... I don't understand why gotp and lycanthrope prices havent gone up as they are the best creature for time/entropy.  And devourer, black dragon and gargoyle s prices are still way too cheap... And that is in the winning team directly so I was expecting them to be either on par with value or a bit overpriced... Not bargains!  If all 5 goes +10/+20 we could call it fait in my opinion.

Also, it might be too late or not but I was one of those fighting for in element discount (say 10%).  As it helps to have elements sends theyre element cards... Not go off mark and fill decks with pends+ whatever to be legal.

I'm fine with  :darkness prices, but lightning and fractal are very overpriced, fractal is more than SoP? and lightning is realy good card (my favorite :aether card also was my first avatar) but still 100 is one price more fair in my opinion

I guess you are right about lightning as it is really helpful as à nova deck filler but not much more... While firebolts brings much more so lightning should be way under for its price.. and if lycan and forest spirit are cheap and nova deck filler... So shall be lightning to some point.

Firebolts are fine as is.. I used them just to compare.  150 is what I had in mind for fractals too.

Has anyone made a average card cost for the in vault cards used last war with this wars prices of this war?  Imo it's one of the best ways to see how balanced things have become.
Just to clarify how you do that. You look at last wars vault and update the prices. Then you will get a vault cost. Divide the vault cost with the amount of cards and you get the average card cost of a element with the cards they actually used. This way you can see which element who truly got the most expensive vault!
To get even more precise statics you can do it excluding shards and including shards to see the difference.
Last war the most expensive vault was  :light
The average card cost counting shards was: 65.2
The average card cost not counting shards was:  59.7

I get the premise of adjusting prices based on cards used, but increasing the price of the "strongest" cards is completely futile unless they cost like 500+ each. Every team will pack novas, grabbies, dims, deflags, and steals regardless of what the price is. These cards are also going to be the most salvaged and least discarded, thus inflating their "use" and therefore their price.

If you want to limit the use of "strong" cards throughout war, it would be wiser to modify salvage rules rather than market prices. For instance, can only have max 9 copies of an off-element card when building the vault, either keep the max at 9 or maybe limit it to 12 during war.

I can also approve light had to walk away from some strong decks due to market prices. Either we could get 1 strong deck or we could go more versatile and get 2 or more okay decks. So I doubt other teams packed as many of the strong cards you mentioned as they liked last war.

On another note. The ideal thing would be if every team had their own market prices. That would really push teams to be more creative and create a bigger variation in war. It would also solve the problem with other teams interfering the cost of your key cards. However this would mean massive amount of work for the WO's and be very hard to balance. But in element discount of 10% seems to be a good way to prevent other teams usage from affecting your vault to much. It also encourage usages of inelement decks.
