One of the problems with this arrangement is that nobody really wants to be in charge of the vault. You have to rush your work so that people can start building decks for the upcoming round, and you have to check everything twice over cos you'll get blamed for mistakes (which inevitably will yield penalties).

On a separate note, it's quite interesting to see S2 (Intelligence) as a role. I suppose it is legitimate because after all, there are uses for it in war, only thing is info leaks about other teams only come about by breaches of rules which isn't very nice  :(

I think there should be a substitute role where that player can still fight for themselves but is a substitute if another player cannot play.

Obviously you're not familiar with military staff notation.

Master = Comd
Deckbuilder = S5 (Plans Head)
Salvager = S3 (Operations Head)
Vault Organizer = S4 (Logistics Head)
Makes sense to me, damn civilians!  But what about the rest?

CO = Commanding Officer; Master, first in charge overall.

XO = Executive Officer; makes sure all the reports and data are ready in time and second in charge overall.

1SGT = First Sergeant; in charge of training people how to play the decks, third in charge overall.

S1 = Personal; keeping track of who can play when.

S2 = Intelligence Gathering; responsible for collecting and analyzing intelligence information about the enemy to determine what the enemy is doing, or might do.

S3 = Operations; plans and coordinates operations, i.e., who will play what deck when.

S4 = Logistics; vault organizer.

S5 = Plans; deck and player strategy.

S6 = Communications; only if 3rd party comms are used (IM/VOIP).

S7 = Foreign Counterintelligence; pretty much a double agent lying to the enemy about who can play and what cards we have left.

I'm not going to bother with LTs, Platoon SGTs, Squad Leaders, Team Leaders, or the Privates jobs.
