Bad news. Some of the team leaders have been slacking off and didn't post their 6 decks like they were supposed to.
It was very simple. One topic, 6 deck codes. Unfortunately in some cases this did not happen (they have ZERO decks ready) which is why phase 3 time is extended by 24 hours.
MASTERS, MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ALL THE 6 DECKS READY! If you don't, you will take automatic losses.
My apologies to anyone who was planning on fighting tonight. War will start tomorrow.
Furthermore, teams that are the cause of this delay will receive a penalty. They will have to discard 12 extra cards at the end of round 1.
Penalties:
- Team :air
- Team :darkness
- Team :life
List of shame (no penalties):
- Team :water had zero decks posted until The dictator saved them literally at the last minute.
- Team :earth, all decks are missing the mark. How is that even possible? Didn't anyone READ the topic?
- Team :light, last minute edit, all decks are missing the mark
Round 1 - Deckbuilding
Below are round 1 matches selected randomly using http://www.random.org/lists/ . Teams now have 48 hours to build a 30+ card deck for each team member, after which an epic battle begins!
When choosing your 30+ card deck, try to take into consideration your opponents possible strengths and weaknesses. Also recheck War deckbuilding rules. Illegal deck is an automatic loss.
Do not post your decks in public topics! Masters have been informed on where and how to post the decks.
Do not start battles just yet! This part is only for deckbuilding. Phase 4 will be the actual battle.

Flying Fahreinheit and $$$Man are not that well-known, so I'm not sure about that match.
PF vs Unit is also a good one, since no upgraded cards.
Kael vs Flare is maybe a good one, I don't know Flare.

This will certainly be a challenge. Fire got the upper hand in this match up, say 60/40. And Plastique is good, Ive met him before (in the early days) when he used monofire in a tourney and he trashed me. At least i think it was him.

I think yall are putting too much credit into individual skill. Sure, that's important, but what's more important is how two elements perform against each other and how good the deck builders are in the team. If you have one or two amazing deck builders that make the decks for everyone on the team, all they have to do is show the other players how to use them and it's like those deck builders are playing all the games.
Granted, every team has good deck builders, but some are better than others, and some teams have more than others. Tally up the number of "good" deck builders a team has, and I think you'll have a more accurate prediction of how these battles will turn out.

read the rules lol, when a person losses and their vault is to low on cards to make a deck they are out of the war, only way back in is if there are enough wins to fill the vault back up to 30+ to make a deck

Once more, I've got to point out that we're talking unupped here. That means no Archangels or RoLs except for xdude, which severely limits it's strengths.
I mean, it doesn't have too many synergies, or at least ones where it uses 50% :light.Don't get me wrong, they are there. They're just not the best decks in the game, is what I mean.

:time got a rough draw here, we're playing Troh, whom i've seen go far in tournaments, Cokeandaspirin who is an experienced player, and then two masters. I feel a 6-0 coming regardless though ;D I've got confidence in all the :time players!

Why do you people keep predicting me to win? I may be on the all-time T50 but that's because I grind false gods better (and build decks against them better) than PvP and PvP deckbuilding respectively. And :aether is scarcely good against many tactics that :death can apply.

No problem. The extra 24 hours is nice though since we had to replace a member. Now we can as a team go over what to do for his matchup.
Concerning Xdude's post i would think that a guy replacing a Master would not be able to use the upped cards. Just my opinion though.

i personally dont think, the replacement thing should be limited, cause it could happen, exspecially with the few times, team size increased and the newbie-rule (no offense against my "newbie", Corrum is great!), and a 30-card-loss due to forfeit seems very hard. maybe 3 times and after that, you dont get salvation-cards, if you win, or anything like that, if we need such a penalty.
and, if a master cant fight, i think the substitute isnt allowed to use upgraded cards, cause at least a master should be able to stay in time-borders.

I think this whole event is a bit too fast and demanding. It is really hard to organize everything and discuss it with the other team members when you have only 2 days for a phase and you live in different time zones etc.
Everyone, (even masters) have other things to do (like work/school/family) and it might sometimes happen that they are unable to play for a few days.
Also, if someone loses connection to internet or his computer breaks, or he has an accident or something.
The main problem is that when something like this happens, a person with a sense of responsibility feels guilty of harming his army/element and decreasing their chances of winning, simply because he had an exam or some bigger project or an accident.
I think every phase should last at least 6-7 days (so that there is at least a single weekend day in it) and there need to be some procedures to allow people to replace each other. Yes, that would slow everything down and could lead to cheating/abuse but I guess we can try to find some way to speed it up and prevent cheating in other ways.
To make it clear, I have nothing against a situation when a single persons failure harms the entire team. That's how team play works. What I am concerned about is when random events or other things independent of our actions affecting one person would harm the entire team.

p.s.: I simply have 5 tests and 2 projects to finish this week and 3 exams next week :P
Yet I feel so responsible for my team that I spend time designing decks, tweaking them, thinking what decks our opponents might use etc... because I want my people (or whatever creatures they are) to win.
If I were to work on these projects, learn, prepare for exams etc... it would harm the entire team and I don't want that to happen.
So yeah, I would simply like to see the rules change in a manner that allows me to pass at least some exams nevertheless :P

i have a reason my decks werent made, (not my deck at least, i was still testing deck ideas against grav, thats no excuse though) anyway. the reason is because is was short a few people and needed to know who they were facing in order to make an appropriate deck for them, now that i do know who they are facing, i can get to making their decks (since some of them arent here right now, ill have to make theirs for them)

I so hate things, connected with my PC, happening from 13:00 UTC (16:00 EUT) time Friday to around 16:00 UTC (19:00 EUT). Usually at that time I'm not even sleeping at my place (biggest chances are I'm at a party or concert or just not in reach of any internet). That's not every weekend, but it happens most of the time. (There are times I'm available around 20-22 UTC, 23-01 EUT Friday and Saturday but it's never sure). So that 48 hours were painful for me not being able to get hold of a computer for more than writing that I won't be able to be online. I agree that phases should be either longer or contain week + weekend days.

How is that an excuse?? The rest of us were in the same exact position and most of us get all the decks made on time.

was your master rushed into power like i was? no, your master had plenty time to get organized, i had to sift through aces notes and all that crap and try to make sense of it. THEN i had little time to actually make the vault itself, THEN i had to get replacements for the inactive members. THEN i had to start on the decks, which i only had 8 hours to do and only 1-2 of my units were even on at the time, not to mention i didnt know what element they were going to face. put yourself in my place and back off.

lol!!!! i just finished the decks. and with just one minute left!!! a few of my people ignored the vault's limits, but i was able to patch up the mess barely on time.. (sigh of relief) now we can get this war started (unless other elements are behind)
