Didn't notice but what decides which group you're in? If you do it yourself will anyone pick slave?

That depends.. if Masters picks players based on what sounds cool, then no I don't think any slaves will be picked. But if Masters pick based on how much a players cost, then yes I think slaves will be picked as well, because they have a lower starting price.

Any chance that there will be something like "temporary mercenaries"/"ronin" ... ?

Personally, I would really love to partake in the next war but I fear that as usual I won't have the time to really commit to it in such a longterm way with all the vault building, strategizing, playing several matches over a looong time period etc.

It would really be cool to have a feature that makes sense in the grand game design and still permits more "casual" gamers to make an appearance, be it only for that one battle ...

I can forsee now, most vetrans picking slave and most noobs picking loyalist/mercenary.  Then no noobs get picked up because they are both expensive and unexperienced.

I don't particulary care what element I use as long as I'm involved, so I will definately go the slave route.  Regardless of the results of this war, I still believe every element has atleast a chance to be competative in a war setting.  Luck is a bigger factor in the war than anything.

I think that instead of (or maybe in addition to) the three choices letting a person influence what element they end up in, a person who is "higher" on that list should get in-war bonuses, making them more "attractive" to the bidders. Upped cards or something would work.

Hell yeah ... have them use their upped cards! Why would someone advertise himself with how many upped cards he has anyways if only masters can use a puny 6 upped cards?

That would be really interesting if upgraded cards were totally allowed and there were also an auction: how high would be  the cost of the veteran who has all cards upped?  ^-^

A feared total imbalance of the game might even be avoided by this kind of market-dynamics:

If an upped veteran costs 40+ cards ... how many of these can you afford and still have a viable vault?

Also, upped vets could maybe bring only certain assets to the market to lower their price and get into the game. They could, e.g., offer

"a set of 30 upped cards, selectable by the recruiting master from the following cards: destroyer (max. 6), explosion (max. 4), minor phoenix (max. 6), death nymph (max. 2), Pulverizer (max. 3) ..."

or simply

"a set of 30 upped cards, selectable by the recruiting master from the slaves/mercenaries portfolio" (attach excel-file -> anybody has the link to that awesome "collection counting"-tool again? can't find it anymore  :( )

taking upped cards seams to make the war unfair i mean so you have a noob with no ups verses a vet who has fully upped deck or even partialy personal if you need upped cards to be  good than your not good imo and the chance of the noob losing is now greatly increased cause towers < pillars another reason what of the masters then whats the point in letting them just you 6 vs the vets and other people using a full deck of upped cards
