Lol, ICB, these masters are just pushing your bid. You really shouldn't have said that you want him this bad, because then other masters know you will take the bait if they raise bid. Don't bash me for pointing this out guys, I might be lying. :))
I would have went for aether too, pity I thought aether is out of the war since there were no master. I have the second most upgraded cards in aether and that's the element that I played second most often.

It seems like the point of being a Loyalist is lost, as I am completely over-priced at this point.

Well I guess a new little "24" icon wouldn't be that bad, but I would rather have a "War #2 Winner" icon.

The point of being a Loyalist is having a higher chance of getting on the team you like. If you're a slave, a team you don't like as much can outbid the teams you do like. (before they reach 24)

In theory yes, but you show that doesn't have to be the case.

Dragoon# has a point, but you can't really rely on a cheap bid as a Loyalist. Popular players, like vrt and Dragoon#, will get plenty of bids regardless of what they choose. Also, I expect epic bidding wars today and tomorrow.
