Title: Looking for Cool Avatars?

So recently, I took a liking to merging elements creatures with abstract backgrounds, and they actually make for pretty cool pictures (if done right).

You can use these if you want for your avatar, except for the ones taken of course :P

If you want a specific creature, post here, I will get it done asap. and if you want to pick your own background, post a link to it

The firefly in particular looks pretty awesome. Like it's charging up some kind of super laser that it'll unleash soon.

I'll use the Arctic Squid one for now, since I like that much better than a standard picture (and I realized I can actually have a custom avatar now), and I'm thinking about either Mindgate or Butterfly Effect, if you could make either of those work better than this one does.


Or if you'd prefer doing a specific creature, Sky Dragon. (Upgraded) Any of them I'd be fine with.

Eh, I think you could increase the opacity of the layer with the creature image on it a tad.
If you have no clue what I"m talking about, could you explain the process you use to make these pl0x? ^^

I like the pictures and agree they're awesome, although the only problem is that I'm not sure either color scheme suits me. Its more that my preferences agree much more with the red/blue/purple over the yellow/green/orange. Although it doesn't look like you did too much to the butterfly effect one, I can see where you made some changes mainly in the turning the background into a swirl, but perhaps more of a change could be done to that one by using the aspects of the butterfly onto this background.

I was more thinking with the color tints the opposite way, the background being darker and the butterfly being lighter.

The background it perfect, although the butterfly itself... it looks a bit weird, with the colors split up like that. Probably something a bit more like the original one, or the darker one, or something to make the butterfly a more uniform red or black. I feel a bit bad about these small modifications, but you enjoy it, and I think it should be perfect pretty soon.
