Due to a lack of matches being played, I'm giving this round an emergency 48-hour extension.  Particpants, please do your best to get your matches done.  Thanks!

Essence 2:1 Xuru

Match one: Graboid Rush vs. Flying EEs+Wings.  Winner: Flying EEs.

Code: [Select]
58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 590 590 590 590 590 590 591 591 591 591 595 595 595 59c 77c 77c
You can see how this went.   I put out beasties, he nuked them.  I burrowed, he used Wings.  I sat and spun, he shot me full of holes.

Match 2: Fire Stall vs. Graboid Rush w/ EQs.  Winner: Fire Stall.
Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f5 5f6 5f6 5f7 5f7 5f7 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn
This was pretty fun.  He sat back and EQ'd as my Fahrenheit wore him down, and eventually spat out a crapload of Graboids and Shriekers.  By the time he did, I had Potions and Bolts for them all, and SoGs to heal up with.

Match 3: Water Rush vs. Phoenix Fire.  Winner: Water Rush.
Code: [Select]
5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gp 7gp
A VERY narrow game.  I played either a Crawler or a Toadfish every turn starting on Turn 2, and the Toadfish literally saved my butt by Infecting a Phoenix and killing it just in time to prevent it from dealing lethal damage.  I ended the game with 6 HP to his zero. :)

GG's, xuru.

I've PM'd jamiejoneslovesu but I haven't heard back from her.  I also haven't seen her in chat lately.  Are you there jjlu?  When's a good time to play?

And also Essence, I think you forgot your own rule: no other cards (in your deck #2).

Building decks
The only deckbuilding restrictions in the Core Four Event are:
1) All Decks must be exactly 30 cards.
2) No non-Pillar cards outside of the Core Four elements (Earth, Air, Fire, and Water) are allowed.  Yes, that means no Other cards.
3) Marks, Pendulums and Pillars of other elements are allowed.
4) You cannot use the same element more than once in each round!  In other words, if you play a :water / :fire deck in the first fight, you MUST play either :earth or :air in the 2nd fight -- and if you lose, you must play the other in the 3rd fight.  This means you cannot play two dual-decks in a row, because you will then be forced to play mono-Pillars in your 3rd fight. :D

Dragoon, you are absolutely right.  I completely screwed up my own rules.  By law, I forfeit and xuru takes the round.

My bad.

Fix'd.

[Edit - forgot the +60 points for the bye.  Re-Fix'd.]
