My Element  :gravity
Could my mark be  :water?
I wouldn't use water cards just gravity and death

I know its a fail combo but stop that's not the question

Marks don't matter. The elements you have only decide what cards you can use. You'll have access to three elements each time you play and your deck can consist of no more than 2/3 of an element. This forces you to use at least two of the elements you have access to.

I am 99% sure he means that you can have up to three different elemental cards in your deck, like  :aether :time :entropy.  However, you cannot have any more then 20 cards from any one element.
