Those two boxes basically give all the information needed without any unnecessary spam. 3rd box should be a one where you list all the Mentors, and Newbies assigned to those Mentors.
I suggest you make some changes to those requirements. My suggestions are seen above.
I made Mentor requirements more simple. I think that the most important thing when becoming a Mentor is that you know your way around the forums. Being in top-50 shouldn't be the only requirement because the game is just one small part of being a Mentor. Using the current requirements, a person could in theory become a Mentor with 1 post and join date of yesterday, as long as that person is in top-50. Doesn't make much sense because when we talk about forum stuff, that person could be a total newbie himself.
Same thing with the staff title. Being a member of staff doesn't necessarily make you a good Mentor. A person could again, in theory, be a staff member with less than 50 posts and very little knowledge of the forums.
I think that the only way to really see how "veteran" a person is, is to look at post count and join date. And also
combine the two, not just have one. High post count doesn't mean anything if you post 50 posts a day, and having joined a long time ago doesn't mean anything either if you never post or read anything.
I also tweaked the numbers a bit. 200 makes more sense than 250 because 200 is the requirement for a full member. I changed 75 to 50 to get a more "even" number, and also partly because I see 75 posts as a non-newbie. It's almost 3 posts a day for a month. I wouldn't mind if it was dropped to even lower than 50, like 30 or something (limit for Jr. Member). This way we would get more
real newbies.
I was thinking that we should give a "Mentor Badge" for each 10 Newbies you help. You can collect multiple of these.
We also need a "Mentor Manager" to oversee the whole project. The job is yours if you want it because, after all, this was your idea.
There was a question in chat about what do these Mentors actually do. I suggest we have a 6-step program. Mentor helps the Newbie go through all the 10-steps, after which the Newbie evolves into a pro.
STEP 1: Browsing the Forums
STEP 2: Posting a Deck
STEP 3: Posting a Card Idea
STEP 4: Elements Chat and Wiki
STEP 5: Forum Competition
STEP 6: Weekly PvP Tournament
Something like that. It would be like a general step-by-step plan that the Mentors could follow. It would probably be a good idea to include options to some steps. This way the Newbie can pick things that interest him or her.
