Played it. Damn fun. Popping a 13/1 golem first turn is hilarious.

It is super weak to freeze, and bad draws are bad, but it's fun nonetheless.

the only problem I can think of is possible quanta shortage
Yeah, I agree. And bad draws. Those two kill this deck.

This is probably the sole reason why I keep this deck around. :)

Tell me about it. I'm starting to think that this "back door" thing needs some work.

Just a thought, but doesn't the auto-milligan shift the odds up slightly further? Or is that already taken into account?

It shifts the odds up a little yes, not much though, You will usually get at LEAST a ball lightning or a cremation the first turn. The thing about the automulligan is that it only guarentees 1, not both, At least though, you get a slightly better chance with it. Not a remarkable amount though, because you already have a 94% chance to get at least one of them on the first draw (which is the only thing the automulligan guarentees) and it only raises it to about 99.05% chance. That 5% does make a difference, but not a remarkable one. i probably did the math wrong though :P You actually probably have a BETTER chance in both instances than what i mentioned.i kept the chance of drawing it at 40% when in reality it goes up each time you draw a card (which it will go up 6 times in the first draw)

So in reality, it only increases the odds 6% of the time (the 6% of the time you wouldnt get either a ball lightning or a cremation)

I overthought it and made a grid for number crunching.

0.2           0.2           0                0.6
0.282759 0.282759 0.0827586 0.351724
0.297537 0.297537 0.203941   0.200985
0.276081 0.276081 0.33618     0.111658
0.238137 0.238137 0.463602   0.0601238
0.195414 0.195414 0.577907   0.0312644
0.154377 0.154377 0.675615   0.0156322
0.118182 0.118182 0.756159   0.00747626

First and second columns are identical, they're the chances of getting one or the other. Second is the chances of getting both after the draw. Last column's getting none.

Auto-mil works at the seventh draw, but the chances of it happening are 1.56%, which is pretty insignificant in comparison. So, the best estimation of getting it on the first turn is about 68%, while you'll have about a 76% if you're going second.

Still fairly good odds, though.

...Your numbers astound me, but I don't understand them. ;)

Regardless, I'm assuming that this deck's draws are GOOD, but are far from perfect; it's a 72 % chance of getting a decent opening draw.

I guess that's fine for a deck like mine.

haha well i liked the idea of the ball lightning (when you got no crem or armour in draw):
If i can't use it for myself . . . . then no one can! *explodes  :D

I like your idea of the backup plan very much!

I played a similar mono fire deck before and encounter so many rewind, freeze, lighting problems. So I decide to play a "quint plan".

Interesting; duo Fire/Aether to Quint your golems. I would try this if I had time.
