The blank card is Nightmare.

Chapter One: The New Card
Explanations regarding the new card, Nightmare

Chapter Two: Nightmare
Reasons for adding Nightmare to the deck

Chapter Three: Strategy
Me telling you to figure it out on your own

Notes

Chapter One
The New Card

Explanation: Nightmare

It's essentially the anti-Fractal, in that it does the opposite of Fractal, and that it can be used to counter Fractal quite nicely. Though that isn't why I have it in this deck.

Nightmare makes the opponent draw until they have 8 cards in their hand, preventing their draw at the beginning of their next turn.
Which is very nice. But again, not why I have it.

Chapter Two
Nightmare

Reasons: Nightmare
Nightmare is in this deck to use the opponent's AI against them. Use it on a Spark when you've got a nice Death setup (at least Bone Wall) and preferably if they have a small hand. They'll play the Sparks next turn and hit your Bone Wall, effectively giving you an extra Bone Wall Counter per Spark, and powering up your field a great deal. Darkness is also notorious as a popular combination element with Death (and vice versa), making it a very effective and fitting deck.

Chapter Three
Strategy

Right. It's really, really simple. If you can't figure out how the deck works, then you are either new to the game or have some kind of intelligence deficiency. If you're new, ask somebody for the basics or look up some basic Death decks; the strategy isn't that much different. If you have some kind of intelligence deficiency, then not even I can help you.

Notes
- This deck was designed to fight against any CPU, except it probably wouldn't be the best of ideas to use it against a False God. Note that it would also work against an idiot.

- It would be pointless to ask me for statistics, because I don't really do those. Try it out for yourself. Or just believe me when I say that it's effective.

- This deck's name is in reference to the absolute fear that accompanies the thought of death, and the fact that nightmares are often referred to as night terrors. Plus, it's a really cool word.

- The creator's name is Freyr. Not Unholy Spirit.

- Links to my other decks can be found at my profile. They're all masterfully built decks.

It feels a bit slow - I always find myself either needing to discard or throing a BL out there with Nightmare. Seems like you're trying to accomplish a lot in a little deck. I would remove 1-3 Retrovirii, maybe the Improved Plague depending on how many Retrovirii you remove. Then replace all those slots with Bone Towers.

I love the concept, however. Nothing like the stupid AI throwing out Ball Lightnings. Also, I think it fills the opponent's hand up to the brim...

Yeah, I suppose I agree.  Took out a Retrovirus and the Plague for two more Towers. Though in my defense, I hadn't actually tested the deck out; it was purely theoretical.

It is a great concept, but it'll be pretty weak compared to some other decks.

And that may be true...I heard that it fills it up to 7, because otherwise your opponent wouldn't be able to draw. It'd enable the possibility of having 8 cards in your hand when it isn't your turn. Maybe your opponent discards at the beginning of their turn, before their draw. But if it prevented their draw, then that's probably an incomplete programming, because it might be a little too good for such a low cost.

In answer to your question, you can use it in the Trainer until it is released into the actual game, which will happen sometime next week.  Go to Resources, and then Trainer.

And by the way, I got confirmation from zanzarino...turns out that it does make the opponent draw until they have 8, preventing their draw next turn.  So now it's kind of a really good card.

That's kinda harsh. I'd have a nightmare if my opponent used this card. ;) On the down side, it's kinda like reverse time, so the opponent will take a tad longer to deck out.

Yup. I think he'll probably weaken it a bit before releasing it...maybe just make it cost a bit more. In any event, if he does that, this deck could very well be ruined.

FWIW, the trainer AI3 failed to play any of 8 sparks in its hand for at least 4-5 turns.  It would draw and discard but not play any of them.  Not sure if this is a smart AI or a buggy AI.

On the down side, it's kinda like reverse time, so the opponent will take a tad longer to deck out.
I'm sure you've figured this out by now, but....

False.  It doesn't add cards to be drawn, only adds cards to the hand (visible cards.)  They will have the same number of cards to draw as if you hadn't played nightmare.
