Shardless Un-upped Unstable Gas Rush [UG]

I wanted to see what was the best ttw I could get for Unstable Gas OTK with no shards and no upped cards. I didn't feel like putting too much effort into what is ultimately a noncompetitive deck (for arena grinding, at least. It may work as an arena defence deck, which is why I'm posting it.) so I only did 10 ttw trials (after multiple trials to make sure card ratio was balanced) of both decks. According to those trials, the ttw of both decks match at 10.1 ttw with the pendulum deck having a range of 8-12 vs the pillar deck's range of 9-11. (Disclaimer: Testing was done against a deck of 30 Quantum Pillars in order to determine optimal ttw.)

Firstly, I don't see what the point of the Pend version is.. It seems like a lot of wasted quanta
Secondly, this deck is very vulnerable to creatures, PC, and..erm..everything. Not to mention that if you destroy 2 Unstable Gasses via PC, then you have no way to win.

My assumption is that the Pend version would be more resistant to Earthquake. There is some wasted quanta at the end, which is why the Pend version produced a wider range than the Pillar version did. While this is a vulnerable deck, I still think that it has potential as an arena defence deck for the following reasons: defence decks get increased health and due to Hourglasses, opponents may not draw enough PC to destroy UGs ( or they may target pillars/pends instead ).

I'm currently testing the deck below. Will post results (including ai3/monodecks testing) sometime tomorrow.

For the original Air Tower based deck:

It needs a fog shield or two. The deck can spare some  quanta.

Also - 3 Hourglasses + 3 Sundials for better defense. Besides, a 30 card deck is small enough not to be hampered by the loss of some Hourglasses

Well, you need at least 10 cards to make it happen (5 Novae, 5 UG), not to mention at least (how much does UG cost? 6?) * 5 Air quanta.
At any rate, I'd like to see how the testing is coming along. KSmash?
