are you two really going to start discusing the quanta cost of luciferin? another reason why to not use luciferin is cause the deck doesn't produce a whole lot of quanta, so i prefer holy light, but purify also adds to the efficiency, i see no reason to use luciferin as all the creatures are already light emiting

Luciferin only costs 2 aether quanta after you miracle.  With a purify, you miss out on an EM against any Momentum, spell damage, or even a deadly poison overwriting your 2 hp.  If they have a creature larger than your hope wall, you lose the EM as well.  With Luci, as long as you have 2 aether/water or 1 of each, you have a guaranteed EM if you draw them both.

Luciferase costs even less: only 1 aether quantum.

Luciferin costs 1 quanta of random.  In this case... after you use your miracle, it costs aether

Sorry for digging up this old thread but my deck is based on it and I've been having great success with it in Platinum farming EM's. I have about a 40% win rate with a large proportion of those wins being EM.

Basically the same idea, fractal the RoL's and use hope to keep the damage away, play SoPa as soon as you can and grow those RoL's.
There will be a tipping point at which point you are safe in games you are going to win, then it's just a case of waiting until you have enough firepower to kill the opponent in one turn and play a Miracle+Luciferase combo to score the EM (purify can work here too as long as you play the kill turn the next turn)
