Nightmare is there to abuse ai's stupidity, as ai will play al the nightmared photons as soon as it can(getting tons of toxin on it self).
Personnaly i would go with chaos powers of the mark, drop the photon nightmare combo entirely and add time based stall.
Changing to time pends could help you to do something similar while keeping the blessings.
