Little known fact: Shard of Freedom still plays the strike effect even when a flying creature is stunned or frozen. The attack does seem to be stopped correctly, however.

Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?
If your zombie plan is
kill -9 `ps l | awk '{print $2" "$3" "$9}' | grep "Z" | awk '{printf("%s ",$2)}'`

Little known fact: Shard of Freedom allows creatures to attack (or at least still plays the strike effect) even when stunned or frozen.

Have you made sure it actually attacks? I've definitely noticed the animation but I thought it was just the animation triggering due to a coding oversight and the creatures still don't attack.

I am almost positive I've seen the animation trigger while a sundial is in play but the creatures still don't attack. I could be misremembering but given how bloody common SoFr is in arena I think I would have noticed the bug and complained about it if it was more than just graphical.

edit: Upon thinking about it further, I am remembering situations where I've played squid/sop against arena and been able to freeze creatures when playing against sofr spam and that the frozen creatures didn't attack. Not that it helps much when arena decks get to 100% evade just about immediately, but still that'd point this at a graphical glitch rather than sofr bypassing delay/freeze.

Ya, it looks like it does indeed prevent the damage, so its just showing the attack... I'll update the OP.

Having both evasion and steadily building HP does help with damesel's survival at least. (makes it much harder to mass target them to death)
