I've used this deck recently.  It is a pretty fun deck.  I tried it out in attempting to build a scarab deck for PvP, which is still in process.  It is very polarized though, it either fails miserable, or succeeds miraculously, depending on what kind of control your opponent has, and whether they are relying on creatures or not.

cool strategy, are all the chaos powers really necessary though?
They have a good synergy with the devour skill from Scarabs, just like Improved Blessing.
Having 2 cards with the same purpose (Chaos Power & Improved Blessing) with 2 different quantum requirement is always a good thing: you'll be able to cast both at the same time. It would be much harder to cast 2 Improved Blessing in a row.
Yep. Also good thing about Chaos Power is that the randomness of the card is not that big of a deal when we are talking about Scarabs. If Chaos Power gives your Scarab more attack, good, you do more damage. If it gives you more HP, good, you can eat bigger creatures.

what about upped sundials?

they don't cost anything, give U some time, and if U lucky on light quantum, then U can get a card

or U don't want ANY permanent?

i understand about not wanting permanents, but what about a permanent that goes away after a turn (a temporary) what about an upped sundial just to stall a turn! :D you can play right away :D

And to be forced to change the thread title? Hmm.. lets see..

"Zero-Pillars Zero-Permanents (apart from one permanent that goes away after a turn) Six-Scarabs"

Um.. I don't think so. Too complex.
