Mighty Niblets [quartet][Life][Water][Light][Aether][unupped][OTK] https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=49889.msg1080647#msg1080647

I made this on a lark, just because I wanted to see what I could do with SoP and free critters.  Then we got to discussing in chat, and Vineroz suggested I post it, so here it is.

Mighty Niblets   by Pella

5c6 5c6 5c6 5c6 5c6 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5de 5j2 5j2 5j2 5j2 5j2 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 5l9 61p 61p 61p 61p 61p 61p 8pp

Gameplay is simple.  Throw down SoP as soon as you can.  (That's why there are 5 in the deck.  Yes, I realize that makes 4 dead cards.)  Be sure you have SoP down before you play any Sparks, or you'll lose their growth potential.  Once the niblets are big enough to kill your opponent, drop the SoP and get an OTK.  :)

Drawbacks:
- If quanta is slow, so are the Empathic Bonds.  Perhaps switching the Pends and Mark would help.  Haven't tried that yet.
- Early CC by opponent.
- PC against SoP.
- No CC or PC.  Built like a rush, even though you have to wait.
- High probability to screw your mulligan.

If you want to play this deck upped, replace the Photons with Damselflies for the 1 extra attack.  It doesn't sound like much, but it adds up.

So far, I've played the deck only twice.  It won against AI3 both times.

Mitosis would be awesome with this. I'd do
-1 Bond -1 Shard -1 Spark + 3 Mitosis. Then, -8 :life Pendulums, +8 :life Pillars. Since extra SoPs are dead anyway, you don't need all that extra  :water. Only need 3 :water. MitoSpark Gogogo, CHAAARRGE :D

I like having 1 type of quanta generation, although I woukd swap mark and pends, as you will need much more life than water

Definitely switch mark and pends.  Other than that.  Looks quite funny and actually decent.  Though, I'm not sure how effective it is at stalling.

With Mitosis generating free creatures, and Empathic Bonds... decently effective stall. Here's the partially upped version I came up with:

Good points.  One issue:  If the Mark is my only source of :water, then the earliest I can play SoP is turn 4.  That's a little late, considering the small initial size of the critters and the fact that the deck has minimal stall ability and no defence.  Any ideas for a middle ground?

4 and 4 is a good start. Tweak either way after testing.

jsrjohnny:  While there's no drawback to using RoL, there's also no benefit since the deck doesn't use :light.  If you already have the RoLs, that's fine.  If you don't, I'd upgrade the Sparks first.

ddevans96:  Okay, I'll work with that.  Good idea to start in the middle and tweak based on testing.  I keep telling peeps I suck as a deckbuilder, but no one believes me.  ;)

Right, definitely upgrade the Sparks first. I just have the RoLs already. :) As far as Shard of Patience coming out on turn 4, I don't think it's that big an issue. Unless you're facing an uber l33t rUsh pvp2 nub. in which case.. you can't win 'em all. :P Also, had another thought. What about Rustlers with the RoLs? (Obviously don't use them if you only have Photons).

Oh, and another strategy thing which may be fairly obvious, but it wasn't to me. If you have, for some reason, only Photons out, and you decide to Mitosis one, only create enough creatures to heal back damage. Too many, and you won't have room for Lightnings, which are what you want.

Fascinating!

You'd have to take out the Sparks to make room for the Rustlers.  Losing 2|4 initial attack will make the deck slower for attack.  On the other hand, the Rustlers should allow the Bonds to come out more quickly, which increases the stall potential, and losing the Sparks decreases the probability of mulligan screw.

I'll run some tests on both versions.  Now I'm really curious about which version will produce the highest win rate.  Thanks for the idea.  :)
