Lava Machine :water :fire :earth
Origin:For anyone who cares for the "interesting" story behind this deck.
Spoiler for Hidden:
The other day I had finally got my hands on the card that had been eluding me for quite some time. That card was Trident. Prior to receiving this card I had won doubles of every other weapon card (excluding Eternity and Pulverizer which I am still working toward.) In my excitement I immediately went to my deck and tried to put together an invincible :water / :earth duo that would crush all other decks. I soon realized that the card that I had imagined in my mind was not the card that I had won. Sadly, :earth and :water don't synergize well and I my initial excitement was replaced with crushing disappointment. But I refused to accept that I couldn't find a place for Trident to belong. So I began to think. What synergizes well with :water
  • :water / :fire
  • :water / :death
  • :water / :aether

So then I decided that I would see what synergized well with earth.
  • :earth / :time
  • :earth / :fire

and thats when it hit me.
Both :water and :earth synergize quite well with you guessed it...... FIRE :fire !

And thus LAVA MACHINE WAS BORN!!!!!

Strengths:
  • Utilizes two common rush decks (Immogolems and Steam Machine)
  • Can overcome some of the weaknesses of the immogolems(easily cc'd early) and steam machine (Gravity Shield)
  • It works well and has an average TTW of about 7
  • IT GIVES TRIDENT A HOME!!!! An early trident with one or two stone pillars will easily shut down most decks making it the perfect weapon for this deck.

Weaknesses:
  • It's a rush deck so basic rush counters still apply (an early trident can sometimes stop them from countering you though)
  • No cc because its a rush.
    Spoiler for Hidden:
This can be easily remedied with Fire or Ice Bolts and/or Basilisk Blood/Rage Potion but I wanted to have speed over counter. If you want to turn this into a heavy hitting creature/quanta denial add these and it has the potential to work well. Add pillars though ;)
  • For some reason I cannot beat FireFly Queen decks with this. It just doesn't work.....

Ive only played around 15 or so games (AI3) with this (4 of them were against FF Queen.....) so i'll post stats when I get more data.
Any suggestions are welcome, encouraged, and appreciated.

I'd drop 2 Golems for 2 Graboids.

I had all weapons 3 times (excluding lobotomizers, which were only 2) before I got my first trident...
But I already knew that this card wasn't as great as it looked, so I didn't really miss it.

As for the deck, two deflags would be useful. Further, with 5 Imolations, you could probably add a fog shield for some defense.
What's the speed of dark?

@Drake_XIV: Why didn't I think of that......

@Keolino: Deflags are definately a good addition to this deck to help deal with phase shield and wings.

FINALLY BEAT FIREFLY QUEEN!!!

Keep the suggestions coming.

umm, well,  :water and  :earth synergize really well. using shard of patience and wardens (patient wardens) to kill any non airbourne creature on the field is quite good. Along with artic squid to freeze any creature that is airbourne. But with your deck you definitly need more water. 5 water pillars for 5 steam machines? Well i hope steam machines cost 2 each then. But they dont. SO i suggest a bare minimum of 7 pillars if upped and 8 if unupped. Gotta get rid of some machines and/or the trident. Golems will take up the earth anyway, or if you put in graboid another good option that will also take up your earth.
A world war? Am I invited?
Thanks to skotadi for saying this in chat. Made me laugh pretty hard, and fits with me not getting drafted. :silly:

This is dragging it to become a very different deck. You're suggesting a stall deck, while this certainly is not. Also you don't need a lot of water pillars to get one steam machine, as you only really need one or 2 steam machines to win against another 100 HP deck.

Trident is good, and I would add another one for better draw chance. Fog Shield is nice. SoB would be nice. Deflag would be nice.

You want more then 5 for 5 steam machines. On average youlll be getting 1 steam machine on turn 5. By turn 5 you could be plain out dead by an opposing rush deck.

Tried to make a more consistent deck by removing Immo combo. Graboid suggestion may be faster. I'm guessing that "Gravity Shield" is better countered by Dry Spell, and "CC" is better countered by Plate Armor (methods by which the duos can deal with listed issues without being a trio)
