It's a weird quanta split, I agree, but after a base construct and calculating the needed quanta by certain turns and the general odds, it works out. It kind of makes sense.
You need some stone towers obviously and the odds come out to get up to the quanta needed for a 60 card deck out even if all 4 are on the bottom, 4 is all you need for stone towers. Also by turn 3, it is likely you will have 1 stone tower for putting down the protect artifacts. You need 3 time towers for rewind that's a given.
The weird split, comes out to what are the demands for light and and life quanta. The thing is you don't need much of either. I started with 4 light pendulums, but I found the flop to be unfavorable at times, and heavy quicksands made quick destruction, splitting 2 towers each made the needed quanta pull even more unfavorable. What worked consistently was this weird split. Although besides looking odd, it works in it's own way.
