Blanks are Shards of Wisdom

I know that SoW has been used with reflective shields before, but this uses Anubis, so there! I'm original dammit!  >:(

Basically the whole point is to quint the opponents creatures and make them hit themselves with SoW + Reflect for lulz. Using the Anubis gives you a constant quinter. Once you get one quinted you don't have to worry about drawing the quints, as is the case in other decks like this. Furthermore, since it only costs a scant 1 aether to use his ability, you won't be running out of that quanta any time soon. Time quanta can be a bit obnoxious, but 7 towers seemed to be enough for me. If you want, you can also use SoW on the Anubis' (once they have been quinted of course) but that takes away the CC element. Besides that isn't nearly as funny as quinting a steam machine and watching a loss turn into a win. Yay stupid AI that keeps using steam!

Blanks are still SoW

The nice thing about this one is that it's a duo. The bad thing is that quanta is generated slower, and it could require some extra set up. If you want an immediately quinted Anubis, in many instances you'll have to wait a turn in order to use SoR in the same turn. I like this one a bit more than my original. The SoR's offer more options, even if they do clutter the deck a bit. It's weak to gravity...chimeras can be painful. And early quanta denial will be the end of you. So yeah...

Anyway, have fun. Post questions, comments, flames, etc.

Also, sorry for any typos I may have missed. I have a bandage on my finger that makes typing difficult.

I agree with you. This is definitely original. The first deck does look a little high on aether quanta to me, but either way, it looks fun!

What about just using an aether mark to fuel anubis's ability and using more of the light part of the duo, so sancs or miracles.

I clearly prefer this one here, but I'd remove one Anubis and SoR, to be replaced with :time Towers, to fix the QI a little and giving you a faster Anubis.

Cool! I like that some of you think this is original! Thanks!

I prefer the SoR version...so I may take Kakerlake's suggestion. I already tried the mark of Aether, but it proved...difficult. I would only be able to quint one creature a turn, where as the mirror/reflective shield I only need once. It makes more sense to leave the light mark splashed in to the deck with aether to me. Unless you want to include some other kind of Light card or something, but I like sticking to one central theme...

About the Anubis: Has been made (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,37607.0.html) but yours follows a completely different idea.
While that uses SoW solely on Anubis, you use it mainly for CC purpose.

Anyway, I like your deck more ;)
How fast is your deck?
In the SoR version, it might be possible to use some pends maybe?
Because I think it'd be cool if you can fit in some Blessings. Either to reinforce your Anubis
or to strengthen the opponent creature to then let it deal more damage to itself.

However, I think it's a nice deck :)

Well, blessings would be difficult to incorporate, as everything get's to be immaterial pretty quickly. As far as how quick it is, I'm not entirely sure. I'm tempted to say 10 turns maybe. *shrugs*

Try if for yourself in the trainer I guess. XD

Oh, and the suggestion to take out an SoR and an Anubis for 2 towers is a very good one. I'd take it.

I personally tend to shy away from pendulums, as the quanta production is more inconsistent, but feel free to experiment.

Oh and the creature doesn't damage itself, it damages the opponent. It's as if the opponent cast a spell at you while you had the reflective shields equipped. If you get enough SoW on the opponents creatures, you shouldn't have a need to buff your anubis'. 5 damage will get the job done, in addition to the damage being done to them from their own creatures.

The sheilds could be upped to give more protection against swarms.

I agree, and I tried it upped to. Really it depends on your preference. You can either have a reflective and get the shield early, or have the mirror and wait an extra turn. It's up to you.

Novas can help funding the SoRs as well as the 1 :light reflective shield.
PVE shouldn't be all about copying a deck code and converting time into electrum, score, and potentially rares.
If the only way to derive fun from a game is its PVP content, then non-hardcore players a.k.a. the mass are alienated from the hardcore community.

I agree. I didn't use them because I'm trying to train myself out of abusing them, due to the impending nerf. Certainly could be useful.
