With only three elements, novas aren't really worth it. Change mark to water, take out the water pillars, and toss in a few pendulums and maybe other cards.

I would keep mark as is, and replace all pillars with water pendulums and life pendulums.

That would mean you only gain fire quanta every other turn. It makes your deck run less smoothly.

Not if you wait a turn before playing the other pendulum.
That aside, yes you CAN run the life spirits off the mark.

And, if you choose to play forest spirits only with your mark and remove all life pillars, you might want to add a couple momentums, to get to 30 cards and because, you know, just in case.

I'd go with just mark of life, 6 forest spirits, 12 fire pillars, 6 fire spirits, and 6 water pillars. Maybe replace some fire pillars with pendulums or water pillars to minimize poor draws.
