This is a deck I've been messing around with (not in the trainer). It focuses on COMPLETE control of the board, and even a semi-decent starting hand can cause a lockdown. Of course, it is great against T50 Rainbows, but it can also take on some mono decks (sans Life rush... those are killer).
This actually my first real attempt at a Duo deck, and I've had a lot of fun and T50 success with it. I plan on tweaking it tomorrow and testing a few things (like adding one more card, or trying SoG with Diamond Shield).
Anyway, here are the pros and cons from what I've seen:
Pros:
- Completely ignores shields thanks to momentum and Pulvy
- Defense is decent with Diamond Shield and Gravity Force + Flying Titan.
- Creatures have high HP. An Oty can't eat ANY of your creatures unless they are damaged, and RoF barely affects anything.
- GREAT T50 grinder. So far, I've only lost to two Life rushes and decked out to one Supernova Rainbow. The rest, which were a lot, were wins.
- Control and denial. Deny your opponents of their quanta with Quicksand and Black Hole, and potentially control their creatures with Gravity Force and Oty. You also control their permanents with Pulvy. This can lead to extremely fast victories, and I've won numerous fights where my opponent had 0 cards on the field in the end.
Cons:
- Pillarless decks might be problematic, since 4 dead cards would be present. However, Supernova-heavy decks aren't too bad since Black Hole will give you 30+ HP per use.
- I think Entropy decks that rely on Antimatter could really hurt this deck. One T50 deck had a few of them, and I barely scraped a victory with a lucky draw.
- Weak against extremely fast decks. I can't see it beating a Life rush on a regular basis.
- As with any deck involving flying weapons, a well-timed Eternity can be killer. This is where Black Hole and Quicksand can really help out since Eternity's ability is costly.
- Only 30 cards for now. This is kind of good and kind of bad. Decks heavy with Miracles and fast healing can become problematic, especially if those Pulvys come late. I've decked out once so far and come very close to decking out on several other occassions. The AI's faulty playing led me to win on those other occassions.
I'm sure these types of decks have been made or shown before, but I couldn't really find one like it. I didn't want it to be fully anti-rainbow where it would struggle against monos. I also tried to make it balanced with offense and defense.
Critique and enjoy!
