There problem is there's no defense, yet this will not outrush a rush deck. In other words it's a slow rush. I think you need Dim Shields - defend yourself while you build up pilars, then hit them with Fractal Fish once your defenses are up. I'd drop 1 Steal, but maybe even all of them, if you can rely on heavy Fractal-Poison attack.

Spoiler for my trainer knock-up version:

Here is my attempt.

1 - Removed all darkness.
2 - Aether Mark + Water Pends
3 - Added Phase Shields
4 - Removed 1 Puffer and 1 Fractal

1) Losing PC is a hit, but I'm hoping racking up poison damage will compensate. It also allows Aether Mark.
2) Makes all of your pends/pilars produce :water when played — allowing you to play early puffers quickly.
3) Vital defense — I don't think this deck could last without them.
4) Puffers are expensive to play, so playing even one Fractal-load of them is difficult. I would rather have just 1 Fractal and a Pillar, than 2 Fractals.

After a few trial runs with this latest version, it seems the quanta is off-balance.  I'll post soon with a possible adjustment. :)

EDIT:
After 5 or 6 test runs following final adjustment, I get better results (AI3 - I'm not of your intended competition level/goal with the deck... AI3 is a soft low goal for fully upgraded if not just for fun, though) using this:

16 quanta sources since all the non-quanta cards in this deck are quite expensive to play!

Tested the deck a little bit, and it is quite a slow thus easily outrushed. However, I'd like the idea and wanna keep it as trio deck, since it was the original idea, so here is my suggestions:
- You only need to play one fractal to win, or have time to play, so 4 is way too much. They keep clogging your hand. You could go down to 2, but let's try with 3 first.
- You produce quite little darkness quanta, and you probably need max 2 to steals, one for weapon, one for shield. So let's reduce the amount just a little bit to 3.
- Since you want to fractal your puffer fishes, you really don't need 6 them. You need 1 puffer fish and 1 fractal and you have plenty of them. Let's boldly reduce down to 4.
- Waiting water and aether quanta to go up, you need to stall opponent, especially against fast starts, like 2nd turn golems or shiekers which outrush this deck easily. Solution for water deck is Congeals. 4 of them!
