This deck is all about establishing the lockdown as quickly as possible. The combination of the quicksands and the pests will very quickly make building up any quanta impossible. The rewinds will slow down any creatures that get played, particularly ones that are played via immo and nova.
Strengths
Establishes lockdown very quickly. A turn 2 quake followed by turn 3 pests is very common.
Weaknesses
-Quantum Pillars/Towers make it much harder to establish a full lockdown. However it's not hopeless. The quakes will still ruin their ability to make quanta, slowing them down.
-As a trio, the quanta base can be finicky. You only really need one of each pendulum to get going, but sometimes you just won't get them. Fortunately, the pends that you do draw plus the pests can usually slow down your opponent enough to recover.
Possible changesThere really isn't a whole lot of room for changes is this deck, as the quanta base is very tight and to establish a reliable lockdown you really need all the quanta that's available.
The only real area you have some freedom is in the 5 damaging cards. The available cards are:
Obsidian Dragons- A very solid choice because of the limited space for attackers in the deck.
Eclipse- Not a bad choice, as it enables your pests to be burrowed attackers if you have nothing else. Probably just a one of though, because drawing more than that would be bad with the limited damage.
Vampire Dagger-The healing it provides is nice, and it drops to the table for very little. Also a one of.
Gargoyles- I tested with these, and the massive hp that they can get is nice. However, once you've started playing damage your opponent probably doesn't have much quanta left to target your creatures anyway, so the increased damage from the dragons is probably better.
Vampires- The healing is nice, but the damage is lackluster and you don't really have enough damage slots in the deck to get away with it. If you do choose to use it, one eclipse is recommended.
I chose the dagger for the early healing and the eclipse for the attack boost to the pests and then filled out the rest with dragons.
The other options that are worth considering are really just 4 dragons with eclipse or dagger, or just 5 dragons. Both are viable options though.
Thoughts? I'm open to suggestions about names as well.
