Sapphire Chargers are as close to cows as you can get in EtG, hence their use here. And while you're waiting for BBs and Freeze, they are simple beat sticks.
Honestly, the only time you may use 'pult is only as a finisher. Or your Chargers have been poisoned and are almost dead.
Actual usage? Well, wait until you can get your Chargers and save up the BBs and Freeze until you can safely unload a Charger onto your opponent for the finishing blow. Just let Chargers take care of whittling down their HP.
