When I was trying to make a earthquake deck, I had a random thought of using Trident to replace the earthquake.

Then I thought about using Flying Weapon so I could have multiple Tridents in deck.

And I needed a PC to take out annoying shields, so I thought about Deflagration

This is what I eventually got....

However, after some testing against AI3 , the results are frustrating : "If you get a good starting hand, you win. If not, you are doomed"

Sometimes an early Trident and sufficient  :earth source completely locks your opponent's quanta pool. But if the Trident comes late, there's no way you could win.

Sorry I can't make a better deck....because I have no idea how to make a better use of Trident.

A deck similar to this (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,36819.msg500391#msg500391) has been made before by an Engineer. Credit to mesaprotector.

Deck import code : [Select]

I don't care whether you get the inspiration for this from him or not, it's still a good deck regardless. (but if you do, you should give credit where it's due)

Comment for your deck:
Gnome Rider really slows down the deck when unupped, so you should up it ASAP.
Lava Golem might be better might be worse than Steam Machine because of its low 1 starting HP. You might want to try to mix both, but i don't know whether that will be a good idea or not. Combining both is a bad idea, as you'll be starved on all quanta. Pick one.
Mesa's deck lacks CC and PC (excluding Poseidon), so you're in the right track trying to include both. Does the pillars produce enough :water to be effective?

Definitely up those Gnome Rider ASAP, and after that the Flying Weapon. As a tip, you could also immo the flying Trident for more :fire if you're still lacking in :earth and you've wiped out opponent's pillars to secure your field.

I didn't get the inspiration from someone else, I made this deck when I was playing with trainer.

But it's good to know that similar deck has been made before because I didn't think about using steam machine.
