(First post, woo o_O)

This deck pains me, it has ALOT of bad draws, but thank you very much for something I could finally convince myself to start the FG farm with. It's easy and painless to get into.

Statuses on the FGs could use updating, since you can't devour physalia- that's probably a ditch now.

Playing this with one titan/one Lobo seems to work fine.

Gemini is definitely beatable- it's got strange quirks that make it favor momentum on phase recluses over the dragons which you can PU and then eat. (Didn't really need my lobo and the elite oty came out VERY late- there's no real control until he gets that lobo. This wasn't the first game I played him- other was v. close too) Not sure how he'd do if he actually drew a lobo or if I hadn't been waiting to eat the recluses- tho a couple quinted things would probably make it possible anyway. It *CAN* explode in your face if he saves TUs or you let him target and TU a dragon- which is frankly pretty hilarious to watch <<;.

Thanks tons.

I had previously upgraded the Otys, and I'm now working on upgrading the shards, but I have two questions. When adding the shards, considering their recent nerf, are there any modifications you would make? And what's the next thing you would upgrade after that?

Nah, the nerf is meaningless in the larger scheme of things.

The next card after Otys and Shards would probably be the PUs.  Getting -1 cost on a key spell speeds up the deck nicely, making it much easier to cast 3-4 in one turn.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

I tried this for a while, and my conclusion was that you couldn't profitably grind FGs with this deck.  You could most certainly win a few times and get some nifty cards out of it though.
- Each game costs 30 electrum. I'm on my way to lose 300 electrum plus 3000 it costs to upgrade two animate weapons. At this very moment I could've made another 500 electrum from grinding EM Elders.

I mean what the hell?! I've had 5 games where I had 1-2 pillars on starting hand while each FG lays down his shock troopers. 3 turns goes pressing spacebar and you're lucky to get one dimensional shield down before you're dead. If your deck clearly can't beat anything with any consistency, don't bother publishing!

......did you ever consider you just had bad luck or opponents this deck CANT beat? You only played 5 games, after all.

Don't insult another's deck if you're not even going to test it properly.

Yea, @above is right.

You should have read that this deck can only beat around 30-33% of FG so why complain?
Considering it only need 2 upped cards to actually beat an fg. This deck has a pretty good win rate.
Gratz to essence for an awesome deck.

Record so far, 4 games.

Quit 3 (Scorpio, Miracle ((had to dc)), and another scorpio)
Won 1. Forgot the gods' name but he had golden dragons and RoL

- Yes my mistake. I thought "can" means the deck will beat said FGs with some consistency. Perhaps it 'can' beat them when you get perfect starting hand and the FG has poor starting hand. Why bother upping those two cards, when unupped mono aether has same if not better odds?

Because unupped Mono Aether does not have the same odds. Let's take a look at four of the easier False Gods:

Miracle: With Essence's deck, you can mass-PU large creatures for a sudden surprise kill, which will prevent Miracle from using Miracle. Mono Aether would have a hard time doing this, and would have to deal with all the Miracles, which would lead to a deckout.

Ferox: Without the Otyughs in Essence's deck, it will be nigh impossible for you to deal with Ferox's insane healing. Mono Aether will probably deck out here too.

Incarnate: He has Bonewall. Essence's deck has Titan, which comes into play with Momentum. Neither Phase Dragon nor Immortal will die to Incarnate's Bloodsuckers, but nor will they have an easy time getting through Bonewall.

Morte: Not only does he have both Bonewall and Miracle, two cards that Mono Aether does not have an easy time dealing with, but Morte also packs Improved Poison, which cannot be blocked by any shields. This will kill you through your Phase Shield, slowly but steadily. Essence's deck has a much better chance of winning than does Mono Aether, since it can deal with both Bonewall and Miracle, even if though the odds are not very good to begin with.

If you decided to use some strange variant of Mono Aether that has a ton of PUs (so you could overcome Miracle), the creatures you drop for them will be sorely missed. If simply add more PUs and Pillars to the normal Mono Aether, your deck will be too big and you'll have a hard time chaining the Phase Shields.

I don't mean to attack Mono Aether, or imply that it's a weak deck, but it simply cannot compete with Essence's deck at the AI6 level. Also, even the best unupped decks have dismally small win percentages against the False Gods. Each time I won a card with an unupped FG grinder, half the money I got from selling it went into funding my FG grinding until I could win another upped card to sell.

Just wanted to thank Essence for the deck and accompanying breakdown of each FG, been using this guide and deck for farming FG and have started upping shards and Otys to hopefully get some more success against the harder ones.

Had mixed results against the "easier" ones but some of them are just bad luck that you can do nothing about.

All in all this is an excellent starting place for a noob like me.

I found that this is a really bad deck against the gods (I had 0 wins after 10 games) until you add in the 4 SoGs (like you mentioned) which raised it to about 25% win rate
