Well in seeing those votes.... I'm gonna go ahead and remove myself from contention, since obviously very few people want me to be Water Master.

pretty sure i got only 7 votes last trials...still went on to win trials and war. even after all that, I still lose popularity to UT. Quitting because of voting outcomes is just straight up quitting.

I am a huge fan of ddevans but this is the right call.

You are new to competing in this element and went up against two VERY established "water pro's".

To take any votes away from them is an accomplishment and shows how well you answered during this phase AND how well your reputation serves you in the community.   

Personally, I changed my vote 4 times during the voting phase because I was committed to voting for who I thought would best serve the element.  I don't want to reveal what my final choice was but I can say that all 3 of the options had my vote at some point.

Being as impartial as possible: I'd really like to see the exact and logical reasoning how this tiebreaker was decided.

Almost half of the people who are somehow interested in the outcome of Trials wanted to see dd as the next Water Master, and because of their Phase II match (which in fact seemed like a pretty close one) he gets eliminated automatically? Somehow this feels very wrong and unfair to me.

But if this is the case, and it's final: I suggest removing Phase I and Phase III altogether next time, as they have no real practical point in Trials (and in Mastership as well) and the whole process shouldn't be anything else just a 'classy PvP tournament'. It's all about the PvP anyway, right?

I wish that the bonus points given in Phase 1 wouldn't have played a role here, but if I had beaten majofa in Phase 2 it wouldn't even matter, so I can't blame anyone but myself for it. There's always next time, right?
