Water Specific
OK. I'm in.
I'm not IN, in, because I have no time and I'm not sure I want to general Water next war even if I become mater again.
But even if it's against a half-strength, no-time JCJ, I'd still like the next master to feel like they have earned it, and to prove to me they are worthy.
You have proved you are worthy in past years but now that patient has dropped out this comment makes me question whether you are still worthy to defend your title. Why should I not be concerned about your current status?
My perspective has altered a little since then.
Let me make it clear. Unfortunately I probably won't have the time to general this war. It is gutting, but I would rather appoint someone else as caretaker general than do a half arsed rushed effort myself. I intend to be a soldier for war, and possibly not in water.
However, i have proven my dedication to water. Trust me to know the water community and appoint an appropriate general in my stead. I already have an idea if he is willing... It is better to have a worthy master appoint a caretaker general than no master at all.
If you could choose who will face you as STANDIN for the final battle, who would it be, and why?
I'd like it if you chose both an old community member that doesn't come around anymore and someone currently active in the community
Dd.
Unfinished busindss.
If not, probably Tiko. Id love to see what he was like in battle.
I only have one question.
Do you think you're in charge?
I'm always in charge, unless you are there. You are frankly uncontrollable.

For everyone that Trials for their favourite element:- If you end up not becoming a Master for your favourite element, will you consider an approach from WMs to General your second-fave/third-fave/what-have-you element? (Quite unlikely, but hey :silly:)
For the sake of argument, assume that you are not a WM yourself, just in case you're thinking 'I'm a WM, there's no way the WMs will approach me to Gen'.
Kinda want to be a soldier this time. Nobody worthy trialed for Water, so I would never let control of the most amazing element in the game be controlled by a fraud, or worst a STANDIN. By retaining my mastership, I will get to chose the Water General from those worthy.
My first choice will be Spielkind. He finally trialed last year and although unsuccessful his dedication to water is unparalleled and I can see no better person to lead us in War, even if I will have to be on a different team.
After that, if DD is available he will of course be chosen.
Then RR, again if available.
After that I will do my own research and discovery, but as Master I will always do what is best for my element, regardless of if I can lead us in war or not.
Will you participate in the next Brawl under the flag of your trialing element?
I'm 90% sure I will BM next Brawl. If not, obviously Frostbite Borealis >> The Tentacle's Grip >> The Iron Manta >> Watery McWaterBoat
1. Which element do you consider the anti-you? Which ones rubs you the wrong way or resonates least with you personally? Please help us understand why this is the case.
2. Name two previous/current masters (you can include yourself if you wish) who you respect and have been excellent trialists, generals, and representatives of their element. What traits do these two individuals share? How are they different?
3. This question is for anyone that has been a Master before. Which is more psychologically challenging: winning the first Mastership or defending the Mastership?
1. Aether. It is too calculated and set in its ways. Although as an element it is one of the most rounded in terms of gameplay, individual its cards are just powerful in their niche role. i like the fluidity and inventiveness of water.
2. Physsion and Afda. Both wonderful sportsmen and incredible PvPers. DD might get on this list if he faces me as STANDIN in the final.
3. Winning the first. I still have nightmares about losing 5-4 to dd.
Pose any trialist a targeted question (ie. specific to them). You may link it if you have already done so.
If I have the time I plan to do this for all the trialists in a magnificent Shade-Throw-Post
Everybody (should) know each Element has its own trait, its strenght and weakness. Being a Master means to know them perfectly.
Said that, explain what's the strenght and weakness of your Element, and, if you had the chance to add just one card (creature, spell, PC, CC, etc...) to your Element, what would it be and why?
Thanks.
Water is in a strange position currently. Traditionally PC has been its biggest weakness, and that weakness is hugely mitigated by SoP and its splashPC+OTK abilities. However, SoP is almost always regulated, and even when not, the easiest way to counter SoP is with heavy CC. So although SoP counters a lot of our traditional Perm based counters, it is a narrow trump card. If water had a strong PC like explosion or Steal, Its domins would be incredibly powerful, forcing opponents to chose decks based on narrower predictions. This would actually make our SoP decks much more powerful because they wouldn't be so expected.
TL/DR It's always been PC, did you really expect it to be any different?
