Well, here it goes...
It's true - I'm a fairly new person to the Elements community as a whole, and when I first stepped into these forums, you could say that the masses of information available to this game was overwhelming to me, and I was shocked at how large of a group there was supporting this game from behind the scenes. And yes, I'll also admit that I was first introduced to this game by a non-card game correlation via Kongregate. (Kongai initially turned me away from card games when I went on that site constantly, but my friend bought me an old game of Yu-gi-Oh a few months ago; upon playing Elements recently, I was beyond persuaded - I was enlightened on finding 'my deck' that was just right).
Time is an interesting element, and I have ideas on how to spice it up (or possibly just update the graphics, at least ^^; ) through new card mechanics. It was the first element I tried, and compared to all the other elements, I couldn't be more attached to Time than I am now - just kidding on that one, I'd probably be in love with Time more if I had Precognition. Hastening a turn to draw that extra card, a Sundial to take a breather from it all, launching an Elite Fate Egg into something that could turn the battle (for better or worse). It had everything from almost every other element that I could want.
It's a philosophical elemental to me as well. Personality-wise, people may assume that Time reminds them of their old grandfather or some man with a long white beard holding some hourglass in their hand (if you don't get the
Cardcaptor Sakura reference, it's okay
), but to me, Time doesn't necessarily seem to always flow forward. It's a constantly changing state of things, regression and evolution, infinity and a moment; it's an element that always makes me feel curious about the possibilities.
And I know for a fact that this game will continue supporting this element more than ever.
As for being the master, I believe that I can learn from PuppyChow and become an impressive master over this element, and try my hardest to assist those who want to build mono, duo, and even trio-decks with Time. It'll be difficult to me at first, but I'm driven, and I will preserve and continue learning about the strategies that are ever-so present (or not) of the cards in hand. More importantly, I know that I'll always be friendly (if not
at least polite) with my responses and critiques of other people's ideas.
I'll always remain humble by the simple fact that I don't know everything. Experience is one thing that will keep growing as I keep posting and reading this forum, even if my post count now doesn't make me a Senior Member.
I do have school and other obligations that may affect my posting habits, but at the end of the day, I have this website now a favorite link in my internet browser, and I can't wait to see what people have posted then. Also, I believe I'm 7+ hours away from the actual time zone posts, so forgive me if it appears I'm posting at 3 A.M.
Most likely, I'm working on my own 'time-based' character for an RPG-action-adventure-puzzle game that hopefully will be programmed one day alongside upgrading my deck.
Finally - again, I'm only a challenger. The 'Remove Vote' option is still below the poll in case you accidentally clicked the wrong name during the voting session, and it's up to
you to help decide who should be the Master of Time. To all the other challengers/current Master, good luck and have fun!
