It should be stated, in Trials rules, that a sentence like this should be enough to be out from Trials. Imho.

Why? He's leaving the extra task there in case one of his other tasks is graded as incomplete or whatever, that's perfectly within the rules, (it says if you do more than 3 tasks, the highest points-scoring ones will be used) and he's just stating that his opponent has bonuses he doesn't, so he wants to be sure not to give him any more advantage by incomplete tasks.
