Considering I'd like to see Fire at a consistent second place after Aether in War, this vote is easy for me. There are only two people I know that work as hard as me in War and can mindgate on a similar level, and one of them is here.
That said, I'm still curious. To all participants:
Why did you join the Trials of Fire?
What personal meaning does Fire as an element have to you?
I'd like to highlight Vang's response to other readers.
Now a response to Vang. Five issues here:
1: Arguing with an explanation that wasn't up for argumentation. Me explaining why I vote the way I do is not discussion material for the participants and could only potentially be for the onlookers.
2: I've seen what you can do and I've seen what glen can do for several years now. In other words, I do know you. If I didn't, I wouldn't vote.
3: hain is one of the most diverse players I've ever seen in deckbuilding. Period. When it comes down to what decks you have to use, the choice becomes easier because most decks are worse variants of a different deck that can do the same things better. If you want to win, you run the best decks for the situation. I estimate hain uses maybe 10% of all the decks he builds during the brainstorming phase, and that's only rational. In addition, he tends to stray from the most overused cards in favour of weirder decks for reasons I won't be divulging here, so you couldn't be more wrong in this overgeneralization.
4: There's one person that calls you a hero. Yourself. Titles are granted by others, or they hold no meaning.
5: I haven't indicated this being a joke at any junction. At the same time, it's not the end of the world either. We're playing a game here :>
The rest of your response I have no issue with. For your own good I'd advise not arguing with voters' perspective, but weaving in responses in your answers to their questions. For instance, "you've seen what I can do, but this War I've got a lot of new ideas up my sleeve".
